Position battles going into Fall camp

Chick doesn't seem explosive enough to play WDE, not that Green is either. Seems like most teams want their explosive pass rusher coming off the blindside. Hopefully Hoilett is a kid that can develop and get some reps this year. We really need a J. Nanton type that excells at rushing the passer that you can just plug in on 3rd down.

That's my point. If our starting WDE isn't explosive, and can't get after the quarterback, then what the **** is the purpose of having a WDE and a SDE?

Hoilett is going to be a cot **** beast, just not sure if he's ready to step in this year or not. Kamalu needs to be the goods.

What do you see in Hoilett that makes you believe Hoilett is going to be a beast? I hope you are right, I just don't know the kid all that well.

I miss the days when we got after the QB every down. We didn't have to use packages on 3rd down. If you tried to pass on 2nd down, we sacked you.

Competition breeds success and we should have some serious competitions at numerous positions going into fall camp, so let's hear who we think will win starting jobs.
I will bold the positions where I think there are actual jobs up for grabs.
QB: Morris, Crow, Williams, Olsen redshirts
RB: Duke, Dallas, Dillard, one of the freshman or Hagans
FB: Hagans
WR: Dorsett, Scott, Hurns, Waters, Lewis, Coley there should be some serious battles to get into the rotation here, I'm sure I left someone out.
TE: Warlord, Sandland, Cleveland
OL: Seems pretty set IMO
LT: Flowers
LG: Feliciano
C: McDermott
RG: Linder
RT: Henderson
Bunche will be the swing OL who can play nearly everywhere
DE: Chick: maybe slides into DT on passing downs.
DE: Green (hopefully pushed by AQM or Hoilett)
DTorter
DT: Pierre
Robinson could be primed to challenge for a spot
SLB: Bond/Grace/McCord/Figs This should be a major battle
MLB: Gaines and Kirby another big battle
WLB: Perryman
CB: Gunter
CB: Howard/Crawford
CB: nickel: Burns/Dortch
S: Bush
S: Jenkins/Highsmith/Carter
Seems like we should have some good competition and hopefully some of the young kids can come and make a big push, especially at DE.
Our starting TE now goes by Warlord? We back.
I saw posters calling him that last year and loved it.
Funny thing is I think it started because that's how his name gets auto-corrected, and it stuck.
