Miami's class needs studs to finish it. Billy Gibson is a decent enough player, but you could replace him with any number of DBs across the street from Miami, nevermind the state.

He's the composite 122nd player in the state. 65th rated safety in the nation. 9th Rated safety in the state. You've got plenty of P5 prospects in that range at his position. He is a good player, but he isn't replaceable. State of Florida, South Florida in particular will produce many defensive backs every years that are *** and lower. Lets not act like Billy Gibson - a good player, don't get me wrong - is the only one, is what I am saying.

Randy Russell is better and faster. He's just a year later.

Russell is a sprinter on the track team and his 200m time is approaching the national high school elite standard.

He's somewhere in the 22-23s mark in 200m. That's really not that close to elite. Elite is sub 21.

You guys are such s. "Loved" this kid when he was a Cane commit and highlighted all the good skills and then when he de commits, he's instantly "not Cane material" and not that good.
Let's not even mention the amount of denial that there was when the initial tweet was made that he was de committed and he then deleted it.

Make up your minds.

It never fails. Same w Harley, same w (fill in the blank). It's how some of these guys sleep at night.

However, in this case, if the staff ain't playing games and feel stronger about getting a higher rated prospect, I'm all for it. You can't have consensus 3 star rated kids act like you are a side chick. Plus, it's time to start putting bigger fish in Canes uniforms. I'm not going to lose sleep over Gibson decommiting, but no need to bash the kid either.
