Ballhawk, who’s gonna transfer? We really don’t have anyone at db on the roster who isn’t balling and who isn’t or won’t be a Sr anyway. Don’t think we really lose anyone to transfer.

And we take 6-7 b/c we’re short numbers and there happens to be a ton of 4-5 stars in our backyard who want to come. Just gotta make sure we space them out a little. A couple of them need to rs next year for a little spacing.

Not saying they will but I wouldn't be surprised if knowles and/or finley transfer. Plus the talk of JJ possibly going pro.

Knowles needs to transfer, Finley should see time at outside LB or a Rover type player.

I think if the DB haul is 6, you almost have to RS 1-2 of them but I don't think that will be doable with these kids and their abilities.

Smith and Knowles will be surpassed on the depth chart and Jackson, JJ, Dean will be done after next year.

I'm all for stacking chips and getting both Campbell and Surtain Jr. but are we really going to bring in 7 DBS in this class?
I would love them both in this class.
Would we lose someone?
Aren't we only losing Dee next year unless something crazy happens?

We have a pretty large cliff at safeties. After JJ and Redwine, it's just Carter. If we had Jobe or Hall, I'm not even sure Redwine is playing. Our corners rotate a lot, so I'm sure we will be okay with playing time. Plus, if they are that good they will get burn.

I would say that you should redshirt 2 of them if you just look at the sheer amount of DBs coming in, but some of these if not all the DBs coming in are too good to keep off the field. There is a chance none of them get redshirt with the lack of depth we have this year, we will need them next year. Also look at the 2019 DBs that we are going to bring in. I think 2019 will be the year we start redshirting.

And did you miss the GT game? Knowles was the reason we got gashed on those runs early. Their WRs obliterated him in blocking. LOL at him playing around the line of scrimmage

Outside of ST, he has no business seeing the field at any position. It's no surprise our defense got elite once he got benched.

If we did end up with Surtain (along with Campbell) to give us 7 DBs, we'd definitely have to have a 3rd guy at safety to keep the numbers balanced.

Surtain or Frierson may be the best bet since they look a bit bigger than Ivey and Blades.

With Campbell's size and speed, he wouldn't be the one to move. He's a CB and he's going to be a good one.

I know Surtain is a top CB prospect but man him and Jobe at the Safety Spots would be spooky!

Knowles is a redshirt sophomore. You may not be aware, but we have quite a few players who didn't contribute until their junior or senior year. Darrell Langham did absolutely nothing until his senior year, and he is the main reason we are undefeated right now. Mike Jackson barely saw the field last year, now he's one of the best corners in the country. Plenty of time for him to develop. Knowles may not turn into Jaquan Johnson, but I think he can be a solid backup.

Knowles looks lost out there.Dont know if it’s so much his physical skills but he looks like he has zero clue what he’s supposed to be doing or where he’s supposed to be on any given play.

Yes he MAY develope into a solid backup but is that what we are after now? Kids that have no chance at being good enough to be a starter?

I’d rather use his spot on a kid that’s good enough to be a starter but is beat out by a kid with just better skills.Knowles is a kid that has zero chance of ever starting and will never be more than just a backup.

I just think he’s better suited for an FIU or An FAU than he is of just the U.
