The guy has ties to Louisiana and was pursued hard by Florida State. Now he is realizing that both of those choices are a huge mistake
 
Very weird recruitment especially being he is a local kid. For the better part of 2 years this seemed to almost completely ignore Miami. Kind of like most kids from AH. Obviously while Rumph was there he didn't want his kids to come here. Rumors were that he basically talked **** about UM while Golden was here. I wonder if that had a lasting impression on many kids at AH. Something like that or Surtain Sr has his hand out. Just a really odd recruitment.

He is quoted as saying, he was embarrassed sitting in the stadium watching that 58-0 debacle. Whole new world now my brother. Let it play out

He’s either trolling to build suspense or truly has no interest in UM. There’s no way you get this deep in the process with the local school if you have actual interest and still can’t put us in your top schools that includes a team 3,000 miles away like Southern California.

I’m calling some sort of bullshyt here. We’re either not recruiting him all that hard, he’s trolling to build suspense, or he’s got virtually zero interest in UM.
 
that interview didn't make me feel good. guy either has a great poker face or is completely set on leaving the area for college.

I don't think we had a seat at the table until the last month or so. How much weight do we truly have? I don't think many people around truly know.

Don't read too much into it. Spoken like the true son of an NFL vet, Senior has taught him how to handle media well and never give them any sensational headline.

I agree with you Franchise. I think he's luke-warm to us. There is always a chance we'll get him, but I really don't think we will.

Most likely, he'll go LSU. *shrugs*

I have to laugh when I see these people making statements that Pat might need money or has his hand out. Pat rented to clubhouse and pool in an upscale community to have a pool party for the AH team prior to the season. I'm thinking he wouldn't do things like that if he was hurting for money.
