Where did the kid say it? Link to the article?

You realize that's just a result of 247 create new player profiles, right?

Of course you didn't. Even for a troll, you're not too bright. Not sure why dwinstitles believed you either, I expected better out of him

Funny it doesn't mention his unofficial visit to us for ND either. Cucks gonna cuck

If He ends up at LSU you can bet the house the old man will be the DB coach......been in the works for two years now and was supposed to happen last year.

If for some reason a spot doesn’t open up I doubt the kid ends up there...TIFWIW but that’s the scuttlebutt around here.

Insane to think the #1 CB in the nation is in our backyard, and if he doesn't come here... I could give 2 *****

Ivey, Blades, Campbell, Jobe, Hall... sheeet, he might be smart not to come

Right?! Reminds me of Jermaine Grace being asked about Matthew Thomas going to FSU: "I wouldn't want to compete with me either."

he hasn't lobbied for ****. The poster is making **** up plus i'm sure it is against the rules now to hire a HS coach that is connected to a recruit.

Not against the rules but Corey Raymond isn’t going anywhere so that point is moot

For the life of me, i don’t understand the LSU infatuation. It’d be one thing if his dad went to LSU. I understand the legacy thing. It’s insanity to be so infatuated with a struggling program with a loser HC that rejected his dad. He wants to be a cuck? Pick LSU, and I would have to call him a weirdo.

It's because of Corey Raymond like it or not he can coach and has a very good track record of putting DB'S in the league. It has to be because Coach O is an idiot.

its none of that. His dad grew up as an lsu fan from that area thats it. LSU is a top flight program , that sends kids to the nfl. If i moved to buffalo, ny my kid still would be a Hurricane fan. Its the same as Braxton Berrios commiting here...His dad n family were cane fans he just grew up in Raleigh..UNC and NC State didnt stand a chance

Hiring a recruit's dad to an on-field staff position (CB coach in this case) is not against the rules. The rule now is that you can't hire a coach on your staff (offensive/defensive analyst front office positions) that's from a HS where you've signed a recruit X amount of years (I believe 2 is the number, but not sure). In this case, Orgeron probably has a DB coach position waiting for Surtain Sr.; which is within the rules.

Well correct me if I'm wrong, but Sr is a coach on the team for Jr, therefor making it against the rules.

Not sure if it is, Michael Porter Sr. is a coach for Mizzou.... MPJ and Jontay Porter are both on the team.

You are correct. The rule went into effect shortly after we hired Cooney if I remember correctly.

If u are using one of your 10 position coaches to hire a kids dad, that’s legal. He’s taking up one of your position coaches. You can’t hire them to some bs position on the staff.

He went college to college, the rule is if you coach the person in high school, a college can't hire them after any of their players sign with said college.

This. A recruit's dad being hired on as an on-field coach is not against the rules. If a staff wants to use up one of those spots to secure a kid, then that's on them. The rules curtain what happened with Devin Bush Jr. (Michigan) who's dad got a position that wasn't on-field.
