Patrick Surtain jr.

In our defense, I'd like to see Surtain Jr.'s potential as a Safety. For those of you who've been around him consistently, how does he tackle? How is his disposition?

If we were going to move any of the AH guys to safety then it should be Campbell because he actually played there before. IMO he does tackle well but I don’t think he tackles well enough to be a safety. Tbh IF we get Surtain I think Frierson might be moved to safety l.

Patrick Surtain Sr.

Bad comp....his dad was a smaller corner who excelled in zone coverage while Patrick is already a good man coverage Corner because of his size

**** man , really? Why are you pretending you know what you are talking about. Daddy Surtain was a beast of a man, he wasn't a smaller corner who excelled zone coverage, that is ludicrious.

Plus it was just a joke anyways comparing son to dad.

Yes he did, wouldn’t have been able to play on the Chiefs old D if he didn’t and the dad was smaller....he’s 5’11 and I wasn’t knocking his dad as a player. I guess I rustled your jimmies.

Pete’s silence on this kid is loud to me. Not getting my hopes up until Pete says so.

Patrick Surtain played zone coverage with the Dolphins? When? The Dolphins were a straight man-to-man defense when Surtain and Madison were there. That defense for the Phins' was elite too!! Zack Thomas, Surtain, Madison, Brock Marion, Jason Taylor, Robert Jones, Brian Walker, and Derrick Rodgers!! That D was lit.

From what I remember, Rhodes was an unheralded prospect that FSU jumped on early after seeing him at their camp. I think he was a WR prospect but they liked him at CB.

That's true he played both ways.. but the staff still didn't go after my nephew and he went to my old high school Miami norland .. and Shannon went there as well it's just crazy but anyways.. my nephew got #RHODESCLOSED .. clothing Minnesota Vikings colors and in other colors.. hit me up for the link to the outfits thanks.

Let's remain objective here: As a prospect, Surtain is arguably the best CB prospect ever. That comes not only from his lineage but also his college ready build and ranking. He could start on the majority of CFB teams right now. With that being said, Campbell's ceiling is unheard of. He's only been focusing on DB for a couple of years and is already ranked as a top CB in the country. Combine that with legit 4.3 speed and his 6'2/3 frame and there is legitimately no ceiling to where he could go. Surtain is better right now that's just how it is but Campbell's ceiling is absolutely ridiculous. Both getting coached by Rumph could be top 5 picks and that's not an exaggeration.

Tyson makes surtain irrelevant. The only way Surtain becomes a higher priority is if we lose Tyson AND Jobe. It's best to think of Surtain as a backup in case Jobe defects.

Hmmm

This is the board at its worst........you click on the Campbell update for today and all you get is morons debating each other on what type of D a player played in 20 years ago and people going at each other's feelings. Waste of **** time.
