Nothing, Milton. All good. @CFLCane and I were just talking about Dan Mullet as an analyst. He’d be good in that role notwithstanding that he’s a weirdo.Dude, what are you even talking about.

What Bama has shown us is that hiring former coaches as analysts can be useful.
Was Sark any better regarded when he became an analyst at Bama than Mullen is now? No and we knew he had/has an alcohol problem but Saban brought him in.
As a coach - No. I’ve said that on here. As an analyst in a film room and booth. **** yeah - all day every dayYou do not let a lazy weirdo like that into the building. You talk about work ethic and future and then you hire Mullen? LOL, no.
Doesn't matter if he's a good play-caller, he's toxic. Believe it or not teams can win football games without that fruit loop on staff.

Mullet would be a good analyst addition analyzing weaknesses and tendencies in defenses as well as looking at our offense for improvements. On that capacity, I’m not worried about him. If he’s a problem in even that role he’d go fast. I’m not going to agree with you remotely on this - whether it’s Mullet or Butch - in analyst roles.Like, WFH?
Again, you don't let a cancer like that INTO THE BUILDING. At any position. It's a binary thing. Who he is as a person is directly in conflict with nearly all of Mario's core principles. This is binary and a non-starter.
Don't you think that there is a reason that the ONLY mentions of even the IDEA of this throughout a manic hiring season is by a few anons on a message board?
Mullen was just fired from a school up the highway from us right when Miami is building a staff, and there hasn't been a shred of an inkling of a suggestion of even a rumor connecting him and Miami. Why do you guys think that is? I am telling you, Mario wouldn't let a guy like that take a **** at the Hecht. Mario demands his staff grind hard, be relentless in everything they do. Mullen is a clown. FIT matters. Hiring Mullen would send a horrible message. Not happening. And would be a terrible idea.

I never said Mullet was an actual candidate, only that I’d take him as an analyst. It won't matter if you or I agree with each other. Mullen isn't getting a sniff by Mario in any capacity even though he's available and right up the road, proverbially. What you or I think won't change that.
I haven't said a word on Butch's candidacy on becoming an analyst because while I think its unlikely, I could see it. I really haven't a clue. If Mario wants him, then let's ride. If he doesn't, then next.

With each passing (or unfortunately canceled) bowl game, potential targets go unannounced, giving the seemingly clear indication that our prospective coaches have been occupied in preparation for higher profile events (Major Bowls and NFL games). The biggest indicator is the tweet here
While the Rittenberg tweets biggest takeaway is the Chud blurb, the secret in plain site is the confirmation of when Mario’s staff will be finalized.
After January 1st.
While the biggest game with coaching ramifications has passed with Oregons bowl game complete, netting Joe Salae’va at DL, Alex Mirabal at OL, Bryan McClendon at WR coach, Joe Maestro at RB and Rod Chance at CB, Canes fans should look to New Years Eve and Day for the following games to find out remaining coaches
Ole Miss/Baylor - Chris Partridge
While the less mentioned Partridge, Chris is the one Mario has mentioned as being his least favorite coach to recruit against. Partridge is also an excellent LB coach, recruiting and developing first round pick Devon Bush from Flanagan High.
Partridge would put an elite recruiter and developer at a position of dire need at Miami.
Penn State/Arkansas - Kendal Briles
The polarizing coach has been mentioned early and often in this offseason coaching carousel and has led, along with Lane Kiffin, another top offense, something he has done at multiple stops, all while learning from amazing minds as his fathers, Art, Major Applewhite and Willie Taggart. Briles is a strong QB developer and recruits well.
Georgia/Michigan - Glenn Schumann
It’s been widely speculated that the remaining half of UGAs DC duo, Glenn Schumann, who was in Alabama as GA and Dir of Player Dev during all of of Mario’s tenure there, could be the choice for DC at UM.
A loss to the other U of M could loose this gem from its post in Athens.
Iowa/Kentucky
A wild card of sorts is John Settle at Kentucky. While only spending one year with former Cane Mark Stoops, Settle had wild success at the most recent running back factory in Wisconsin, grooming the likes of Jonathan Taylor and Melvin Gordon. The other big Canes connection? Settle coached as RB coach during Chudzinski’s lone season in Cleveland and with him in Carolina for 2 years when Chud was OC there. Keep an eye on this one if Maestro is not the name to know.
Others to watch - Rutgers - Sean Gleeson -OC
Buffalo Bills - Ken Dorsey - OC - with Chud on board, and NFL coaches already on the move, this has wheels
Whoever said that should simply be banned. It's one thing to say hes not who he was. But to say he's lost like that is simply a lie. I speak to Butch weekly and nothing about him is a bumbling old man.It was posted here within the last 3 months or so. Don't remember where the article originated.

The hate is unreal. Like blinding. People can disagree with certain things but who in their right mind wouldn’t be thrilled to have Butch helping Mario as an analyst??? Not saying he’d do it as I don’t know that type of stuff but it’s a no-brainer.Whoever said that should simply be banned. It's one thing to say hes not who he was. We finally have a real professional coach who isn't going to make desperate moves with "Has Beens".Well, Mario won't, and I'm thankful for that!
He was a astonishing recruiter for Miami maybe the very best and JJ would have to hold that claim but it’s close. Beyond that I don’t get the obsession myself. And he left here literally leading the fan base on saying he absolutely would not be leaving. The obsession with Butch on here still, in 2021 and almost 2022, is straight up weird.

Facts......these people weird here. Kids would know Mario and Butch know how to coach. Their rep speaks for itself and kids know that. The hate is unreal. Like blinding.
