Our New Coordinators are Busy

That's just it. I care about what you accomplished. I have nothing but praise from Howard to Coker and Richt.
Agree. I won a bunch of appellate cases. I told my partner long ago, 90s, that maybe a couple of wins were lucky. He said you are your record, forget the rest.

But recruits.

With each passing (or unfortunately canceled) bowl game, potential targets go unannounced, giving the seemingly clear indication that our prospective coaches have been occupied in preparation for higher profile events (Major Bowls and NFL games). The biggest indicator is the tweet here

While the Rittenberg tweets biggest takeaway is the Chud blurb, the secret in plain site is the confirmation of when Mario’s staff will be finalized.

After January 1st.

While the biggest game with coaching ramifications has passed with Oregons bowl game complete, netting Joe Salae’va at DL, Alex Mirabal at OL, Bryan McClendon at WR coach, Joe Maestro at RB and Rod Chance at CB, Canes fans should look to New Years Eve and Day for the following games to find out remaining coaches

Ole Miss/Baylor - Chris Partridge

While the less mentioned Partridge, Chris is the one Mario has mentioned as being his least favorite coach to recruit against. Partridge is also an excellent LB coach, recruiting and developing first round pick Devon Bush from Flanagan High.
Partridge would put an elite recruiter and developer at a position of dire need at Miami.

Penn State/Arkansas - Kendal Briles

The polarizing coach has been mentioned early and often in this offseason coaching carousel and has led, along with Lane Kiffin, another top offense, something he has done at multiple stops, all while learning from amazing minds as his fathers, Art, Major Applewhite and Willie Taggart. Briles is a strong QB developer and recruits well.

Georgia/Michigan - Glenn Schumann

It’s been widely speculated that the remaining half of UGAs DC duo, Glenn Schumann, who was in Alabama as GA and Dir of Player Dev during all of of Mario’s tenure there, could be the choice for DC at UM.

A loss to the other U of M could loose this gem from its post in Athens.

Iowa/Kentucky

A wild card of sorts is John Settle at Kentucky. While only spending one year with former Cane Mark Stoops, Settle had wild success at the most recent running back factory in Wisconsin, grooming the likes of Jonathan Taylor and Melvin Gordon. The other big Canes connection? Settle coached as RB coach during Chudzinski’s lone season in Cleveland and with him in Carolina for 2 years when Chud was OC there. Keep an eye on this one if Maestro is not the name to know.

Others to watch - Rutgers - Sean Gleeson -OC
Buffalo Bills - Ken Dorsey - OC - with Chud on board, and NFL coaches already on the move, this has wheels

What is overlooked about JJ (and Butch) was the eye for coaching talent. JJ’s 1986 staff included:
DC Wannstedt
Grad Asst. Chuck Pagano
DL Butch Davis
OC Gary Stevens
OL Art Kehoe
RB Don Soldinger
Grad Asst. Tommy tubbervile

Insane. 3 future NFL head coaches. 2 GA’s who went on to great coaching success

Butch also had a great staff
Schiano
Chud
Coker
Pagano
Shannon
Stoops

Lots of future college head coaches
Insane staff man, alot of recruiters. Butch was the closer hes basically Mario cloned

We’re talking about bringing Butch in as an analyst and 15-0 King finds Butch unacceptable by his standards after all the pro-Manny shît he posted
Yep. You always have to consider the source of such comments. Dude has been wrong more times than a broken clock, yet still finds time to bash the greatest talent evaluator of all-time. He was good enough to be Jimmy Johnson’s top talent scout, but not for @Go Canes!!. You can’t make this **** up.

He left to go with JJ to Dallas.
No he did not. He left his Championship Team to Coker who won the Natty the very next year. If you are attempting to say he went to Dallas, well he went prior to becoming Head Coach of Miami. 'Nuff said.

I believe he was referring to when Butch left the first time with Jimmy to the Cowboys.
Well many of Jimmy's staff followed him to Dallas. That's not saying much other than prepping for Miami. Let's just get the record straight.

Stoops wasn't on Butch's staff....Stoops became DB Coach in 2001, when Pagano left for Cleveland with Butch....and to leave Curtis Johnsons name off that list is sacrilege...Best WR Coach in UM History, and an Elite recruiter.

Good Catch with Stoops and CJ. But the list was focused on coaches who went on to become HC’s or went to the NFL. CJ was an amazing coach, and maybe he became on OC somewhere, but he didn’t rise like the others.
