On a couple CB targets…

You love to say this and then back it up with zero proof. At least 1murhurricane told us why with Mcnulty. You keep adding names and when questioned just call him a coke head. You can never give specifics. Either speak up or stop spreading slander on a public forum.
I actually called him a duck head. Swap eye with a you. (Deleted by Maude’s)

I know Addae was set up with Dez Ricks. Dennis said he wasn’t good enough to play at Miami. I know he effed up at central. I know he’s gone dark on important people who support the program. I live this every day. I don’t care if you trust me or if you do. That’s your choice. I know what I interact with, and I know that it is hard for me to pour my resources into the program when it’s run in a disorganized manner by someone who lacks true adult super vision. Btw who do you think told Mario about Guidry? Good night sweet prince

Dennis, it’s ok. Just resign, you had a good run. Go back to Louisiana and coach special teams.
Only thing special here is you.

Addae had Dez Ricks set up huh?

Addae was that good of a recruiter? He must have gotten other high profile corners to commit here?

Or at least ones with talent?

Right??

Last thing I’m going to say. Do you know how recruiting even works? Addae was lazy, 100%, but coaches bring players in front of coaches. They bring kids on campus,, they facilitate kids with 7v7 at Miami etc. addae was not a good recruiter, but he did get over ruled by Dennis on multiple guys in the secondary

This kid has college tape out and he doesn't look good. This is against UCF by the way.

Yet you're posting his HS film here and commenting about his length and how he moves like they're evaluating a high school player.

No need to evaluate and project him..he played in college already against D1 guys and he's not very good.

There's a bunch of kids out there who are in the portal and have looked GOOD against D1 wide receivers. And none of them are visiting or getting offers?

God dam he looks like straight cheeks in those videos.

Thats not it man. Save that NIL and package it to get one player instead of 2.

Dennis doesn’t have that sway. You’re creating a bogeyman for our DB coaches and DCs recruiting shortcomings

I don't actually know so this is a serious question.

Who give the final say on a prospect? Position coach or head coach or coordinator?

So position coach scouts out prospects, runs them up the chain (to coordinator then to head coach) then gets approval?

So Miami's case, position coach goes to coordinator then to Dennis Smith and he decides if Mario sees the prospect of not?

The coordinator or position coach can't go straight to Mario and say, "hey I really like this prospect, can we give him a scholly?"

I understand the negativity at the position given the recent history, but I'll note that his first visit is to Ole Miss (which has a strong track record with Portal DBs) and his next visit is to Michigan.

I cannot discount the possibility that Kiffin is trolling Cristobal and interviewing terrible DBs knowing that UM fans might say, “If Ole Miss wants a DB he has to be pretty good.”

We need to leave some personal issue things off of the board as I deleted it here and in a thread the other day.

Idk how it works at UM, but I worked in a CFB personnel dept for 4 years, and there was def a chain of command. In this instance, the DPP had to “sign off” on a kid before it even got to the HC to review, and this was 10 years ago. No matter what the position coaches thought about the kid, the DPP was #2 after the HC. With all of the stuff that an HC has to manage now, it probably has gotten worse. HCs have so much on their plate, they put people they trust in place for **** like this so what GoCanes is saying isn’t farfetched at all.

DPP = Director of player personnel?

It's wild to me that somebody like that can shut down a recruit when the position coach wants him and the head coach hasn't even seen him.

I get it the head coach needs to delegate but I just don't see how you don't give the trust to the position coach + coordinator since they're the ones that have to make the meal with all the ingredients.

How does the head coach make sure the DPP is qualified enough to be the gatekeeper when it comes to all recruits?
