Last thing I’m going to say. Do you know how recruiting even works? Addae was lazy, 100%, but coaches bring players in front of coaches. They bring kids on campus,, they facilitate kids with 7v7 at Miami etc. addae was not a good recruiter, but he did get over ruled by Dennis on multiple guys in the secondary

No, they watched the film and made their own evaluation. We, as fans, haven't done that. We don't even have the right film to watch (the TV copy isn't great to watch DBs).

However, we have reason to doubt this staff's DB evaluations based on prior results. It's been bad in high school, and it's been bad in the Portal. That's why I brought up the other two schools recruiting this kid, both of which have a much better track record with DBs.

I'd love to hear from someone who is actually familiar with the player: strengths, weaknesses, style of play. I gave Miami's perspective, but that's one side of the story.

The TV copy for evaluating DBs is dog**** especially so on boundary CBs because you never see them on the TV unless a pass is throw to the target they are defending.

You replied to my comment in the Reggie Virgil thread that you value players that had a high number snaps played and also produced. The disappointment with Karnley is the absolute lack of production and actually the opposite for the most part. It would be like evaluating Jaden Harris, yea he had a ton of snaps, but he was a burden.

I can do a thorough breakdown if he ends up signing with Miami.

But just going by eye test & remembering from watching West VA vs AZ, Colorado vs AZ & UCF vs AZ, I'm not too sure if the staff is looking for another Ja'Dais Richard, but that's essentially what they'd be getting.

Idk though, I'm no CB expert, so I'm sure someone else could give a better explanation as to why they're going after him
