What? the mean at this point is a win, which is hardly a regression. The defense is what they are, winning is all that matters.

We need a dose of realism every once in a while. I'm just going to enjoy each win that we can muster because with this defense, things can go south in a hurry.

Our style of play on offense has been a very quick 3 and out and literally 15 seconds off the game clock or we score taking 3 or less minutes off the game clock. The 17 play drive that resulted in a field goal against GT was the anomaly, but if we had a few more like those every game, our defense wouldn't be sprinting back on the field every couple of minutes.

That said, we are still pretty bad.

Dont know how many of you saw WVU-Baylor yesterday because it ran same time ours was but I have a hard time believing our defense is worse than the two those programs ran out there.

Fumbles recovered in particular are a random occurrence. We cannot depend on recovering fumbles to overcome giving up a **** ton of yards each game. Eventually it will catch up to us.

Fumbles recovered in particular are a random occurrence. We cannot depend on recovering fumbles to overcome giving up a **** ton of yards each game. Eventually it will catch up to us.

We have institutionalized stripping, ripping, and putting our hat on the ball. It is causing more fumbles and causing more fumbles will lead to more fumble recoveries. Pretty simple and straight forward to me.
