OC Discussion Thread

I like this guy because he has history of stability and will stay at UM for at least 4yrs. Also his offensesive philosphy is to be balanced but score a crap load.of points while being effecient.

Also he has been important part of atlantas offense. So he could be free after tommorrow if not them he could interview for the job accept it then play in the superbowl but the recruits would know he was going to take the job. RB would love his offense because he likes to run the ball, and he has developed an all pro qb.

Go canes

Maybe mostly BS, but there was a lot of bad press about his abuse of players after he was fired.

He would benefit from the Utough program (or maybe Uthin).

This is regarding the Mangino post FWIW

Wow his bio sounds great but the Falcons are still in the playoffs and he could do the same thing Fisch just did. 2 years max and buh-bye

Talented coaches get promotions. College is a stepping stone for the NFL. If you have coaches being courted by NFL teams that is a good thing. Much better thing then having the Patrick nix's and Tim Walton's of the coaching world

For those that are concerned with our OC 4 years from now, great work now get back to your post at the asbestos cannery.

The only problem I have with OP is that (as much as a I love Stephen) he is not the best QB in the ACC, but 2nd best is still pretty **** good!
yea he needs to improve alot. dude stares down guys and throws at guys feet all the time. I cant figure out the love fest for him. He can be better but he has to change alot of those things this year.

Fat man wants to get back into coaching. Already lives in Florida. He was very good OC at OU and won an Orange Bowl at KU where he called plays as head coach. Runs multiple set offenses and puts ball in playmakers hands. Health only concern plus he is kind of a ****! That being said, I would love to have him as OC.

He'll take up 2 seats on the plane.

Don't panic, guys. Golden was able to get Fisch when he was basically the Temple coach and our talent level was poor. This is a much better job now, that iwll be even more attractive than it was two years ago. Golden will be able to make a great hire, just as he did with Mario.

I did NOT want Jedd to leave, and its certainly a loss, but it doesn't mean its not possible for AG to actually improve the staff with this opportunity.

I,ll take anyone that runs that Bama offense to help our D. Or we could spread it out and our D give uo 70 a game because of being on the field al game. Run the ball.

How about Josh Heupel? He's co-oc AND qb coach at Okla and maybe it's time for him to run his own show.

He also beat tha noles for a MNC. Interesting name I think.

Would definitely fit the bill as a young up and comer. Seems to have done a pretty good job with Landry Jones and he does at least have some OC experience. Also like that he actually played QB.

I like Jagodzinski. He did great at BC and I believe he coached up Matt Ryan. Another possible name is Dana Bible with Obrien out at NCST. Anyone know if there is a connection with him and Golden from his BC days?

You obviously didn't follow his time with Tampa Bay then. He was essentially fired during the pre-season for lack of "attention to detail". He had NEVER called plays before in his life and it showed. Steve lLogan called the plays at BC and was set to call plays as RB coach at Tampa. Terrible idea.
