What about his tradition with QBs at FSU and Georgia? Richt had nothing to do with the QBs at Vandy and Kentucky, you ol' potato....

There have been lots of quality QBs to come from the SEC over the years....

Spurrier had some good ones at Florida during his years, Peyton Manning was pretty good at Tenn., many moons ago when Alabama was good (before being lackluster in the 80s/90s for a bit) they had a couple fellows like Namath and Stabler who won one or two ball games there and in the pros.....etc....

Jameis? Perry doesn't have that kind of upside....not even close. If we are lucky, perhaps a Trevone Boykin type (which I'll be happy with). Still think he's just another Rosier.

agree with u 100%. Will never see meaningful minutes for us. Talent wise there is a reason UF and FSU did not offer. Richt needed to use his Georgia connections and get Baily Hockman or Trevor Lawrence this year. They both the have all the goods to be very good.

Well that's great, FSU just got Hockman. Right, now need to go all out for Lawrence. He should have some connections there with the kids form Georgia. We need someone with some talent waiting in the wings, not a huge project.
 
People, people. Stop saying Tebow won 2 nattys as a QB. Chris Leak was the QB and they just gave Tebow the **** ball on the goal line to score td's. He was the best short yardage back in the nation.lol

Leak did all the work and Tebow got all the glory.
 
And as far as the Heisman, he wasn't even the best player on his team. There was this guy Percy Harvin.....Tebow would throw a 5 yard pass and Harvin would break a 60 or 70 yard touchdown on his talent and speed. He was the best player in the county and it wasn't even close.
 
I can't really see the logic behind the Perry criticism. Young man threw for 2500+ yds, 33 TDs, and only 3 int last season. He also has good pocket mobility. What's not to like? Those numbers are fantastic
