Surtain did not break those time barriers either------100m 10.87, 200M--22.14checked out his track times and was expecting a little faster. Never broke 10.8 or 22 for 100/200, it seems.

Bethel did break 22.0 at 200m--21.57 and 100m--21.78

You'll see a player like Bethel in alot of classes. Bama seems take a 3 star kid without that impressive of an offer sheet at least once a year. Some times staffs just fall in love with a player.
Thought you were full of crap but then found this kid they just took:

yall sleep on this guy. wouldn't surprise me at all if he's just as good as Campbell in college if not better. he has the physical tools.
Campbell is 6-3 180 and ran a 10.4,special,special talent.
The knife cuts both ways. This kid was a walk-on at Bama and put may those 5 star speedsters on the bench.............his best 100m in high school was 11.04.

Would love to get Liberty City El's perspective on this. Ill run with whatever he says but if we are taking flyers..this is the type of kid you do it for.
Here you go:
He had 4rec 61yds vs CC back in October
1rec 52yds & 1TD vs Central
3rec 90yds vs Norland
4rec 72yds vs CC in the playoffs
He was used primarily as a Deep ball WR to stretch the field & take the top off the Defense in a QB run first offense with Tutu.
He's a versatile athlete with good speed, good feet & hips, he's not just some bum that's a 25th hour add. He's a take imo.
For a comparison I would say he's a taller Kayvon Webster with similar speed.
Lol... Hey I just offer my opinon like everyone else, there are far more qualified guys on here than me.Would love to get Liberty City El's perspective on this. Ill run with whatever he says but if we are taking flyers..this is the type of kid you do it for.

If LCE says hes a take. Then hes a take.

Didn't as much this year, I moved, I don't live in Fla anymore. But from what I've seen before & what my family who are still in Mia tell me I trust cause they're close to it.@LCE...Hey man, you have seen the kid play live more then 90% of the guys on here. Most of them are either looking at his lack of stars or lack of offers as a reason to **** on him.
I am in the group that sees a kid who is 6'0 180 and running a legit 4.3 AND has the hips to play DB AND is from MNW and saying we at least need to have a conversation with him in case all **** breaks loose and we strike out with TC and PS2. Kids with those measurables arent walking around everyday.

I don't get the hate for this kid though, if this was a Folden eval I would be totally against it, but this staff deserves the benefit of the doubt imo. They've shown they can maximize prospects like Bethel & he would be a long term plan, not someone they would expect to come in & log snaps day 1 as a CB. But on ST's he can make an early impact, that 4.3-4.4 speed is for real.
This is the exact type of kid who goes to Louisville or West Virginia and becomes an all conference type of kid who we then later question how he got away. Definite take if we miss on the Heritage Duo.
He's not a replacement for either of the AH kids, but that doesn't mean he can't play at Miami.Didn't as much this year, I moved, I don't live in Fla anymore. The "hate" probably stems from his offer list of FIU/Akron/Tulane and that ilk and that he didn't play CB in HS and didn't make many plays on the football field. I don't hate him; I just don't think we build a champion striking out on 5 star CBs and replacing them with Akron players.

Based on what?

Surtain started at CB for his HS football team though and has football offers from the top programs in the nation.
