Too many people worried about his offer list... I see upside and a pipeline connect hopefully

Losing Campbell would be devastating but this isn’t Golden. We have four real DBs in the boat, three of whom were recruited by everyone. Bethel would add some much needed speed and upside.
If a 6’1, 4.35 corner from Northwestern made the league, and we missed him, there would be **** to pay. Bethel’s traits are unique and highly valued at corner. If he’s coachable, bring him in and develop him.
D, what's the deal with his lack of offers? You'd think he'd have more P5 offers.
Do you think Nick Saban doesn't know that this kid runs a 4.35 (if that time is even legit)?
Do you think Kirby Smart doesn't know about this kid.... who plays at the most visible and heavily recruited high school in America?
Not good enough for those guys but good enough for Miami, apparently.
Yet when it comes to offering Nick Bonitto or Xavier Peters, we don't have room. But we're gonna take this scrub that noone else wants? Yeah no thanks.
I'm not even talking about Bama. I mean, where's Auburn? Louisville? Kentucky? Indiana? I mean, I'm seeing UCF, Akron, FIU, and Bowling Green as offers. Just doesn't compute.
I want him this class even if we get Campbell and Surtain
Bethel is a plan D guy. Offering him, means we missed on both Campbell and Surtain. So Bethel will be getting his offer very soon and some will find a way to paint that as something positive.
How does offering him after missing on maybe the 2 best corners in the nation = plan D?
The kid is plan B, plain and simple...You take Plan B kids from Miami NW/Miami Central/BTW, etc...In a heartbeat

He is plan B genius? That is why we are two weeks before NSD and Bethel does not have any offers from any of the good football programs. The guy was dropped by the Gators and never had an offer from the Noles. Asante was our Plan B guy and we whiffed on that badly.

I don’t know crap about this kid, but the only undefeated major team in the country offers and the God recruiting does too and those offers don’t count? If he is 4.3 and over 6’ I have no problem taking him. Do we have any 4.3 guys on the team?
Next year we have at CB:
Jackson (SR)
Young
Dean (SR)
Bandy
Freshmen:
Blades
Ivey
Frierson (probably should be at FS though getting ready to take Redwines spot)
So we have 6/7 CBs on the roster and just like DT, we are an injury or 2 away from disaster.
With 2 graduating next year, it’s in our best interest to take another CB this year to fill the void in 2019.

Tired of this narrative, no lie. Back then, it was called a Golden special. Before then, it was called a Richt special. I’ll be **** to start substituting guys for a Richt special. TC or bust. If u’re not landing TC then use that a scholly on another DL or LB
If he plays then we clearly have failed recruiting the position between the 2017 class through 2019.... which is why we don’t necessrrily “need” to offer him

Pointing out UCF & FIU as his big offers does not bode well for your argument. He is a MAC/Conference USA caliber recruit. Why try to spin it? Losing the #1 CB (that should be a lock) & signing a Plan C kid is a big deal. It's why we have been mediocre for so long.. That won't change signing projects.
Would love to get Liberty City El's perspective on this. Ill run with whatever he says but if we are taking flyers..this is the type of kid you do it for.
People act like Bama, OSU, and UGAs of the world only take 4-5* kids every year. I remember Bama came down here and took a lowly 3* kid from Boyd Anderson who played WR and not many people had heard of him except local guys in the know. Kid turned out to be a superstar and starts for the Bears right now. Eddie Jackson.
Even Saban will take a flyer in his class from time to time..its low risk-high reward. And if they dont pan out, you drop them. Whats so hard about this to understand for some of you?
I see the argument "save the scholarship for a 2019 db" being thrown around a lot. Are we in a position we need to save scholarships? I say take him, he is athletic and fast with upside and can contribute on special teams. Plus he goes to a pipeline school. Who knows could help with Sam Brooks
Every scholarship we don't spend this cycle we can use on an EE in the next cycle.
