Anyways I just started a new dynasty on CFB25 so I could sim to the offseason and suggest Emory to transfer, felt good.

I just started my second season on CFB25 and couldn’t find a transfer portal QB but signed one of the top HS QBs and I’m going with the true frosh! Emory is my back up!

But seriously, I am not sure we'll beat FSU next year. We are not a well coached football team. Nor are we a well put together football team, and that's the saddest part. Does not matter. Defense is at minimum 2 years away from being D1 level, coaching staff is about 6 years away from the same. You could put Pat Mahommes back there and he'd be a Jag, and we'd still lose or be in an absolute dogfight with St. Thomas Aquinas' JV squad.

My only blame on this staff is they had him as QB2. I still have faith they have some plan for a QB1. I just don't see what it is. They passed on a lot of QBs during the winter portal

I do agree Nickel probably would beat Emory out. I honestly really would be down to ride with Nickel, though my big thing would be A) Dawson likely only here one more year B) He would obviously have pretty large struggles at points. I think Nickel being that dude and winning a qb competition would be awesome for us for 2026 and especially 2027 seasons.... but I'm sure the idiots on this board would be insufferable with a true frosh at QB after just experiencing Cam Ward.

I am still glad Beck just declared for the draft. And I hope Ewers does too. At the end of the day I do not think those are good value plays. I absolutely would still have taken Mendoza, and would still take Robertson/Hoover/Nussmeier 1000%.

I said it in another thread…I’ll take our bumps and bruises with Luke Nickel all day!!! At this point use the money to get better defensive players and RBs and OL and live/die with Luke.

Wondering if the coaches have already told Luke 5 that he’s already QB1 hence why we aren’t aggressively pursuing a portal QB (just my complete and total opinion; I have zero info)
