Next years QB....

Olsen should start. Just for the fact Al needs to start getting this position ready for future seasons, not just the next one.

Yet i feel Williams will get the nod because he is a senior that has paid his dues.

I feel like I see a lot of people dogging Williams. I'm not saying I think he's the second coming but we haven't really had much to judge him off of right?

Stats for the year:
22/32 (68%)
369 yds
3 tds 1 int

Am I missing something here? I think he deserves a fair shot of running the offense. All we really need is for someone to manage games, not turn the ball over, and get the ball into our skill players hands. Dude doesn't have to be a world beater with the talent we have on offense.

Williams...Olsen in mop up time gaining experience.

Williams can manage the game IMO with our weapons on offense...ie Coley, Duke, Yearby. Even hit the TE, hopefully Sandland has a big year for us.

EDIT: pretty much what was said above me

As long as whatever QB we start doesn't turn the ball over and is able to properly manage our loaded weapons at the skill positions, we should be okay.

True. Plus, in the limited action we did see from Williams, I really liked his accuracy. He doesn't have the rocket arm, but much more consistently would throw the ball in the right spot to allow the receiver to make a play and not break stride, than Morris did on the short and intermediate passes. Barring an exceptional Spring by Olsen, I'd imagine Williams gets the start.

Olsen should start but Golden is stubbornly loyal to his seniors. Either way, Olsen will be starting by the end of the year after Williams is done stinking up the joint.

Lets all hope Williams for olsens sake...new guys upfront I don't a scratch on olsen, but in 2015 we are golden

If you look around, top QB recruits at major schools are starting as freshmen. If Olsen is legit he should have no problem beating out Williams as a RS Fr.

In the limited time that I've seen Williams he looked pretty decent. He distributed the ball nicely and was smooth.

Don't really care about who's got the rocket arm or all the physical tools, just give me somebody with a **** brain who can make the proper throws.

agreed. And the offense seemed to have a much better flow to it. Seems to get the into a rhythm and not break it. Hope he will be trusted to not have to look back at the sideline on every snap 3 times

I hope more then anything that whoever wins the job in the offseason, get the job. No, but he's senior ****

Ahh, exactly. Flow is the perfect word I was looking for. You hit it on the head.

if Morris had down syndrome, he would have played better.... Look at Jameis, he seems to have a mild case of the downs. He doesn't think, just plays.. Morris seemed to overthink and make mistakes.

I'd like to see us put more ephasis on short routes and YAC next season, especially considering we won't have a guy who can throw the deep ball like Morris.

If there's one thing that mental midget could do, it's throw the bomb.

Well, we know good things happen when you get the ball to Duke and Coley in particular. You don't have to throw lasers 60 yards downfield for that. Just get the ball to them. Williams is perfectly capable of that.
