Next years QB....

People point to the defense and talk about JAGs and lack of talent - do you want to start the 2-star kid whose most impressive offer was Memphis, or a 4-star kid in Olsen who was an Elite 11 guy and could have basically named his school?

I'd even throw Kayaa in over Williams. Another 4-star guy who has USC and UCLA hot on his ***, and was also invited to the Elite 11 camp.

Put the talent on the field.

I want the guy who wins the job in the offseason and fall camp.

From what I've seen from the staff their 1st 3 years here, they like to play the seniors. Ryan Williams it is.

H$ll there were times when I felt like Ryan should have been playing this year. His job to lose.

i think is williams was so good, he would have been on fiel this year. morris was not good at all.

Hard to believe the Staff want's to have a new QB three years in a row. But they also may want to give Kayaa more time to compete. Bottom line I think they go with whoever has the best Spring and Fall. Another way to look at is if Williams is the guy, make that call in the Spring so he can be the leader of the team. If it goes to the fall, I think advantage Olsen. Very interesting dynamic to see how the players react around these guys in the Spring.

we need a leader, this team gave up on morris. after unc, the body language was horrible.

Morris had built up ... "Money in the bank" from last year. Kid was a senior and was on fire during the last 4 games of 2012. Williams real opportunity will be NOW

Interesting to read the reasonings for who and why ______ should be or not be the starting QB.
"Gives us the best chance to win" -- despite inconsistency?
put another way "most experienced" -- at what, throwing into double coverage?
demonstrated he's not up to the job -- yet freshman/redshirt freshman has?
judged on limited body of work -- vs no body of work?
"He couldn't win the job" -- JH vs SM anyone?
"holds UM passing records" -- KF, KW, JH anyone?
"has an NFL arm" -- and a peewee brain?
"hits the long ball" -- struggles to convert third down plays?

Don't know if any of the folks holding these views actually are in a position to know. I may have missed on some of these or be wrong, but I suspect I'm better than _____ demonstrated third down efficiency.

It's all very confusing.:crownpour:

So y'all just gonna forget what Larry told ya about Williams last year...???

Was he not proven correct?

Olsen...he is the choice by LIGHT YEARS. If we were talkin NC hopes next year i'd say Williams, but since NO'D is on the staff we have no shot at a NC.

I would tend to agree JMBFLAME21..they lean on senior players regardless of the talent level. RYAN WILLIAMS WILL START AND PLAY THE ENTIRE SEASON BARRING A SERIOUS INJURY.

So, who do you think the starter is next year since Morris is gone. I gotta admit, with Morris under center, I never really had that though like "Oh, sh*t, I wonder how this guy is going to f*ck up this drive" like I did every single time Jacory took a snap. It just sucks we're starting over with a new QB, but I guess having Duke and Coley will help shoulder the load.

The chosen one will take over after Williams gets killed/can't sustain drives and will never relinquish the job.
