New Raising Canes

Nice video. I just wished they would have said something about the Rustle Athletic Bowl. Was that the cloud, or the team pooping the bed? Dead horse I know but it still needed to be mentioned.

Nonetheless, that was a serious sh*t storm back in 2011. I was on campus and that question of "...will there be a team next year" was considered valid at the time.

Al and staff did some good things in that time frame to try and save this program. The one that I like to say I am a fan of. I hope the product gets better on the field but he did earn my gratitude for these past efforts.

Also, his comments on Tracy and Duke are spot on. He knows what's up.

You guys should want him to succeed because that means the team is succeeding.

Everybody, and I mean everybody, that is a canes fan knows it was **** storm! You're not telling us anything we don't know. I live in Missouri and everybody thought Miami was getting the death penalty.

What people are saying is that they feel it has been the go-to excuse everytime he has been asked a question. His wins and losses, and his defensive successes and failures have been well documented here, that is the problem. Knowing those numbers WE, including you, must have doubt to how the team performed with "the cloud" gone and the coastal there for the taking.

There is not a Miami fan out there that wouldn't love to eat crow if he won the title this year! That's all we want, not excuses!
 
The team"s performance was totally suspect as the year closed out, we all know that. I thought the RAB Bowl was more galling then all the ACC losses combined. Though, I live in California and can't go to but a few games, my kid said the team quit at the VT game.

All that can lead to the coaches v talent argument that is way over played on this board.

My point is that all the "f@ck Manny, Fire Dorito, Fat Al" stuff seems to go so far that, it seems, some would rather see them fail so they can crow and chest thump while they say "I told you so". Me, I'd like to see AG and Dorito succeed because if they do that means the U is winning. (I don't care about Manny).

If the U can't show up vs Louisville & Nebraska and then gets eaten alive by the ACC again well then we know where stand. Until then, for me it's full steam ahead...

Great Video, I just have 1 question: Al does know he is in Miami right? I mean **** his jackets are always button up to his neck. It's to hot for that.

I felt like I was watching a propaganda video or something. It was like they were trying to remind us of just how bad and impossibly challenging it was to be under that investigation. Yet, when the investigation was over, we finish 2-4 and get boat raced by a sorry *** VTech team and lose to Duke after being up 17-7 early. Sorry. The cloud didn't do that. Your ****** coaching, preparation and scheming inadequacies did that. And because of those inadequacies, we failed to close on some of the big names on our board. It wasn't the cloud. It was you. This just ****ed me off more.

Ummm... He's pre-law, will have automatically gotten into their Law school having taken all the prep classes.

Do you actually think any graduate can apply to their Law school & just get right in?

I'm sure losing our best player & having to rely soley on our pussyfoot QB had nothing to do with it.

Funny how what you mentioned got us out of the gates to a 7-0 start before losing DJ..

If you read this board prior to the game the Golden slurps were stating how this team was going to come out on fire, show everyone what this team was made of. They hadn't been in a bowl in what 3 years... Then they played the game.

What got us out of the gate was a weak *** schedule. Remember after the UF game how everyone was proclaiming Dorito the next Defensive mind of our generation? LOL you fans with short memories. The great thing about this board is posts don't go away. They are there for the bumping...

I'd agree with that for the most part... although UF was a very good team at the time, GT was solid (beat Duke by 24) & winning at UNC on Thursday night without Duke showed a lot of improvement.
