Moving on from Guidry

This is a genuine question and not based on anything I've seen or heard: is there any possibility that Mario would let go of Guidry during the season? Going into the bye week would be the time to do it, to give the interim two weeks to get ready for Wake Forest. Feels like we're delaying the inevitable at this point anyways. UVA just beat Pitt, so Miami is back in the driver's seat to go to the ACC title game. The offense's struggles was a one-off in my opinion, Cam was just good instead of God-mode. The defense being at least average is the key to Miami winning the ACC title, getting a bye and hosting a playoff game, and simply getting to the playoff.

I think it would be best, but have no idea if it will happen. Just throwing my thoughts out there. #GoCanes

That's the crazy part. The regression in his scheming and the play of a lot of players. Kiko was a sure tackler last year. He was being touted by national media as a top LB and possible Butkus candidate. This year he is flopping and flailing around like he doesn't know how to break down and tackle. Schemes have also been pathetic. How do you let a team like GT run a handful of plays over and over without adjusting?

This year, it’s Guidry.

I don’t know if he’s any good or not, but he didn’t look anywhere near this bad last year. In fact, I thought he did more with less.

Not sure what happened. That said, our defensive personnel isn’t that good right now, especially with injuries.

We’re counting on multiple G5 transfers in key spots (Cook, Alston, Hill).

There’s just a lot of JAGs on defense. Need a talent infusion there. We need a good hit rate with the ‘24 class.

The chickens came home to roost today… I promise you the concern isn’t centered around one game. Just because we won games we played horrible defensively doesn’t make the performance on that side of the ball acceptable
 
Why can't we bring in a defensive assistant? Like the Joe Brady of defense to help Guidry out. We need help. The national narrative is that Miami is completely incapable of making any defensive adjustments. I heard it 3 times already...once from that fat **** Booger " Miami suffers from poor coaching"
 
I need a study on what happened. Last year he was a savant. Except Louisville and unc.

This year is different. Is it all players?

Last year we had tecory couch flying in on blitzes. Smothering Clemson. Battling fspoo with backup corners. WTH man

Way too many people overrated him last year, he wasn’t that good. Not as drastic but had similar patterns

I don’t need to be an x and o savant to know that the defense looks confused all game, blows coverages, gets out of position, tackle poorly, lack fundamentals… it’s coaching. What’s their excuse, ALL the players we recruited are completely retarded?
