Morris ranked 38th on NFL.com list of top 100 seniors

smh stop it... Bridgewater and Hundley ain't coming back they are top 10 picks in the draft. Would you risk that??

I hate to break it to you but just b/c Mel Kiper says someone is a Top 10 pick doesnt mean it's true.

Teddy Bridgewater isnt going to get drafted in the 1st round this year.... he would be smart to comeback.

I havent seen anybody consider Brett Hundley a Top 10 pick, but he is more NFL ready then Teddy imo. However I think only 1 QB is going to get drafted in the top 10 this year and i doubt it's Hundley.

What are Teddy's flaws that cause him to be ranked 7th and should make him go back to school?

Very weak arm, not that accurate unless receivers are wide open..... he's not a starting NFL QB right now. He would do himself a favor by going back to school and playing well in the ACC.

Very weak? On what planet is his arm very weak? His velocity on intermediate passes is above average for an NFL QB at worst. His intermediate accuracy is fantastic. He struggles on long throws (especially against Rutgers) and is something that he does need to improve on, which really has nothing to do with staying in school. Is Morris a starting QB in the NFL right now? Cause if Teddy isn't there is no way Morris is anywhere near it. Teddy's ability to read things and process those reads is on complete different level than Morris. The literal only advantage to staying in school is he'll face better defenses a few times, which is completely irrelevant because he'll be playing against NFL defenses next year after going top 5. Mel Kiper is hyping? GTFO. Say he'll fail in the NFL if you want to, but saying he won't be a first rounder this year is literally just something that isn't true. You clearly have some bias or just aren't good at evaluating talent, but you're literally completely off with everything you said about Bridgewater. Is Louisville still running a spread offense?

As for Morris in the NFL, this year was big for him becoming more consistent and getting better at post snap reads. The ankle really hurt him against GT because his footwork was terrible and his accuracy struggled because of it. I haven't seen any progression in making reads faster but he has done a better job checking down this year and not forcing as much. I'd be very shocked if were drafted over Teddy/Mariota/Hundley/Manziel and Boyd likely gets drafted before him too. Fales has really struggled this year, Murray and McCarron will probably end up dropping to the 5th/6th unless someone falls in love with Murray. Morris is likely in the group with Mettenberger/Carr/Garoppolo and it will really just depend on team preference the order they go in, besides Mettenberger because he seems to be working his way into the top of the 2nd/late first. It was mentioned before but Morris' best fit at this point is either Arizona or Cleveland. Cleveland will probably take a QB early or grab Mettenberger in the end of the first, so Arizona in the third would probably be a nice fit for Morris. Hopefully his ankle is improving so he can actually perform at 100% because he still has a fair amount of work to do if he is to get drafted on the 2nd day.

NO.... Teddy doesnt make good reads unless it's to wide open receivers, its nowhere near Stephen Morris's ability.

As far as arm strength goes, anybody can throw the ball short to intermediate w/ enough velocity... the point is he has a very weak arm. It is far from NFL caliber, all his balls sail in the air and wobble.

Teddy Bridgewater is nowhere near the overall QB that Stephen Morris is, it's really not even close.... but Teddy would be 2nd string here though, i'll give him that.

I'll be highly surprised if Teddy does not go in the top 10. Personally, I think Teddy is good (also don't know if he's quite top 10 good, but he will go in the top 10), but at the same time, his competition has been weak, so he might get exposed early in his NFL career and it will be a case of how quick he learns.

As far as Stemo goes, I really believe he's a toss up. I think he will go anywhere between the 1st and 3rd round (I'm expecting somewhere in the 2nd round). His arm alone is going to keep him in the early rounds. If Al Davis were still alive, he would go to the Raiders in the 1st round.

Is he supposed to throw to covered guys when there is an one open? Bridgewater progresses through post snap reads extremely fast and is extremely good at finding the open receiver, or having the confidence and accuracy to throw players open.

And no, not everyone can, the intermediate velocity (including outside the hashes) is far more important than long distant arm strength. He can make every NFL throw and that is all that matters, he won't ever throw with the velocity of Morris (or any of the top NFL QBs like Stafford/Kaepernick) but he really doesn't need to because his decision making more than makes up for it.

Bridgewater REALLY needs to work on his deep throws, and needs to get bigger and stronger overall, but you clearly have an axe to grind with Teddy and there's not much of a point in trying to convince you of anything since you basically just make him out to be complete trash (even to the point of either not knowing or lying about the offense he plays in) when all evidence disagrees with that.

I dont have an axe grind w/ him.... I just know for a fact that he isnt going to get drafted in the 1st round. Ppl were 100% positive that Geno Smith was going in the 1st round last year as the 1st pick..... neither ended up happening and imo Geno Smith is a better QB then Teddy Bridgewater.

If you think Teddy is going to be the 1st QB taken this year, then all can say at this point is we shall see, but i would bet money that he wont be. If you're not going to be the 1st QB taken then why come out early??? The 2nd QB taken last year was a 2nd round pick. Like I said i dont even think he's going in the 1st round period this year.

Teddy is a good QB but he would do himself a favor by coming back for another year if he wants to guarantee a 1st round selection, b/c this year it isnt going to be a guarantee..... The only underclassmen that I would even think about drafting in the 1st round this year is Mariotta and Manziel..... if you look at the NFL landscape their arent that many jobs available at QB, and regardless how many QBs could possibly get drafted in the 1st, maybe 3 max imo. A lot of competition is all i'm trying to say.......

Also Stephen Morris does a **** of a lot more then just make down field throws accurately, he also does a very good job checking down and making intermediate throws that I have yet to see any QB make..... imo Teddy isnt better at anything that deals with the QB position then Stephen Morris, except maybe is more mobile.

There are QBs in the NFL who cant make the type of throws Stephen Morris make....... That is going to give him a big edge during the off season. Of course he has flaws in his game which only centers around being consistent which so far he has been doing a good job at ever since Florida. Teddy wasnt consistent against Kentucky or Rutgers, Stephen Morris wouldve lit both of those teams up easy.

There are a lot more examples of people being correct in October on who were going to be first round QBs than not. Last year there was one first round QB, that's very far from the norm. This year Cincinnati, Cleveland, Houston, Jacksonville, Oakland, Philadelphia, Minnesota, Tampa Bay and Arizona all could potentially draft QBs early, so even if Mariota does end up going higher than Teddy (which is a very legitimate option at this point), I'd be very shocked if he didn't go top 3.

Morris can make literally every throw accurately SOMETIMES, but his ball placement on quick throws struggles sometimes, something that Teddy does extremely well.

You picked the only 2 games this season where Teddy threw under 70% in the game, and against Rutgers he threw 67%. He missed some throws deep but calling that game inconsistent is far from the truth. He was inconsistent with his deep accuracy, but the rest of his game was very good and his decision making was on point per usual. He even took off a few times which he hasn't done a whole lot.

Morris physically outclasses Teddy easily, there is no doubt about that. Teddy's athleticism is top notch but his arm strength isn't in the top 2 tiers of QBs in this draft, but it's still without a doubt good enough and will continue to get stronger as he develops more physically.

Where Teddy outclasses Morris though, and every other QB in this class, and what makes him a special QB, is mentally. It's not just making the right reads either, it's seeing them at such a fast pace and recognizing when to make the throws so he's not missing the window to throw to an open player. It's seeing the open receiver before they're open, which is something most QBs (especially Morris) struggle with at this level. He also does an incredible job of letting his players make plays and not being afraid to beat man coverage (which is also a strength of Morris').

I really like Morris, but he struggles to process things quickly and has a very bad habit of locking onto his presnap read and throwing that no matter what. He does a lot of incredible things because of his arm talent, as well as his ability to make plays when things start to break down. His throws against Maryland his freshmen year and against NC State last year are two of the most clutch plays I've ever seen from a college QB. But if he doesn't improve his consistency on intermediate throws, and he doesn't improve his decision making, he's going to end up closer to a 3rd/4th rounder than a 1st/2nd. If his ankle improves and he can actually use both his legs to throw the rest of the year, I think he ends up going in the 2nd because he has shown improvement in coming off that first read, and his consistency has gotten a bit better when he can actually step into his throws.

I just disagree...

No QB is perfect but Stephen Morris doesnt lock in on the pre-snap read at all majority of the time, sometimes he may try to force a pass b/c he thinks he can squeeze it into a pocket when it's unnecessary but his mental and IQ is very high imo. He does everything pre-snap that Teddy does, Stephen can check in and out of plays based on what the defense is doing the whole 9. After the snap, every game he has made multiple reads, if the 1st read is open then that's where he goes but if not then i've seen him check down w/ the best of him.

Johnny Manziel runs around all day until somebody gets open.... Boyd makes most of his throws to the 1st read, Mariotta makes most of his throws to the 1st read, so does Mattenberger (Landry or Beckham 24/7), Bret Hundley makes most of his throws to the 1st read and Teddy when the 1st guy isnt open he hesistates. Honestly w/ that said I think Stephen Morris is better at checking down the most of the QBs in CFB, b/c he's better coached at doing so.

Also i dont Teddy's decision making is that great, he was exposed on Nat'l Television. Anybody can play for Louisville and make the right throws when there is no defender around the receiver, but every time i saw the defender anywhere in the vicinity, Teddy struggled. Throws that Manziel; Boyd, Morris, and Mettenberger would've made easily, Teddy couldnt.... he was hesitant, and when he threw the ball it didnt look good at all.

To say Teddy's mental is far superior then Morris is laughable.... I can make a case that Jacory Harris would look like a top 10 QB, playing for Louisville against that schedule his entire career. NFL execs dont want QBs w/ a weak arm.... and when you dont play consistent against competition that other QBs would destroy, it hurts ur stock b/c Teddy doesnt have room for error like every other QB thats going to the draft. I cant even judge his mental personally all i know is, when the defense is decent enough to be competitive then Teddy becomes inconsistent.

Stephen Morris has much more qualities that an NFL team can build off of then Teddy does..... nobody in the NFL wants a dink and dunk passer, when has that ever worked. You got to be able to get the ball downfield to stretch the defense, Teddy is going to get most of his passes jumped by NFL defenders b/c of his lack of arm strength.

If you can't see the difference in their mental game and truly believe Teddy has a weak arm I really don't know what to say. I guess we'll see.

Zone, I will agree with you on Morris trying to force throws into tight windows. I think his reads are ok. I don't think he gets stuck on his first read, but I disagre that he makes all the reads well. I think he's usually smart enough not to lock on to the first read, but at times becomes too hesitant when the first read is not open. Not always, but sometimes, hence the inconsistency.

I also agree that I don't think Teddy has a far superior mental game.

As far as the other QB's you mentioned, I will disagree a little on Boyd and Hundley. I think Hundley is going to be very good. Boyd, I want to see without sweet receivers like Sammy Watkins and Deandre Hopkins, which he has had since he's been there.

I think Stemo has the highest upside of any QB in this draft because of his arm.

I do disagree that a dink and dunk passer cannot succeed. The problem is, a qb like that needs to have a great defensive team. If UF had a dink and dunk passer, UF would be really good. Alex Smith is a dink and dunk passer. He's not lighting up any scoreboards, but he doesnt lose you games. Trent Dilfer often was a dink and dunk passer. Guess what, he has a Super Bowl ring. In Teddy's case there is even more upside, because he can be a dink and dunk passer as you say, but he can run the ball well too. Most dink and dunk passers I've seen usually aren't very good runners. I'll take it one more step. Jacory Harris succeeded his senior year because he relied on check downs (which I'm assuming that was Fisch's priority when working with him). Prior to that he kept trying to air it out and he just didn't have the arm for it, but dink and dunking worked for him, especially since we had receivers who were good in open space.

Offensively, the key for a dink and dunk passer is to surround him with recievers who can make plays in open space. Maybe a steve smith, reggie bush, a percy harvin. Not a full team, but 1-2 guys who can make plays in open space and on the run.

I can agree w/ ur points, but there seems to be very few examples of a "successful" dink and dunk passer in the NFL. Also the league today wants explosive high scoring offenses, nobody wants a QB that has to take all day just to move up the field and kick a FG.

For that reason i dont think Alex Smith is going to be a starter in the NFL for much longer after this season b/c he limits the offenses potential.... Teddy could be a success in the NFL but right now I dont see it.

So Teddy is a dink and dunk QB in a spread offense. Got it.
