Morris ranked 38th on NFL.com list of top 100 seniors

Morris will be good he has the senior bowl, combine and pro day to boost his stock. To all the people hating morris is completing almost 62% of his passes this year and is completing over 70% the last 3 games including 77% vs gt.

The biggest thing working against Morris is the strength of the QB class. It's one of the deepest groups in a while.

I get the feeling he ends up in Cleveland or Arizona. Those teams run vertical offenses that suit his skillset.

There is a treasure trove of draft eligible QBs. Tough year for Stephen to come out.

Morris has the only passing TD's against UF.

Yes but he didn't look good at all besides that spurt in the 1st quarter.

Stephen Morris still had better numbers then any QB that Florida has been up against this year.....

Morris: 162 yards 2 TDs 1 Int

Z. Mettenburger (LSU): 152 yards 0 TDs, 0 int

J. Worley (Tenn.): 149 yards 1 TD 2 Int

Yes he did. But I think you'd agree he didn't play all that well besides the 1st quarter.

I think the point they are trying to get across is that no QB has done well against Uf. However, Morris has done the best of any to face their defense. Not too bad imo, and I'm not worried about that game hurting his draft stock or credibility as a QB.

Good point. Let's see how Aaron Murray does against Florida this year. Especially with them being without their best player in Easley.

Morris is the 6th QB on that list. And that's only seniors. If the guys from UCLA and/or Utah State come out, Stephen could find himself the 8th QB on the open board.

How many QB typically get drafted in a typical NFL draft?

If Jacksonville takes Clowney over Bridgewater 1st overall, Morris reuniting with Fisch has to be a strong possibility for Jacksonville as well.

Stephen Morris was ranked 17th on the one in the Hot 100 list published in August 11,2013.

Seantrel Henderson was at 21.... so they both have dropped on the list.

Stephen Morris hasn't been healthy and hasnt been in full games during the 1st third of the season.

I can see both of these players continue to fluctuate, and I can see a situation playing out w/ Stephen Morris, similar to EJ Manuel where he shoots up the draft when it's time to impress NFL execs and w/ his combine performances.

May not be a 1st round pick but we'll see.

Only SEC teams aka UGA can complain about injuries and use that for better ratings in the polls....

Not really fair to compare us to Georgia. They're missing their top 3 WRs and their stud RB.

Imagine us without Duke, Dorsett, Hurns and Coley.

Morris isn't a smart QB. He will struggle at the next level.

Morris needs to add a little more deception to his game... Better play fakes, better movement in the pocket, an occasional pump fake, ala Manning. All this creates more space between his receivers and his defenders. It also keeps the defenders honest too (no jumping routes, etc.).

I said this was his best fit if Chud wants to take a project with the raw materials. Now it appears that he will go with Weeden (based on the Brian Hoyer decision) the rest of the way. If Weeden continues to play subpar, they will take a first round QB IMO and it won't be Morris. If Weeden can be a game manager and give them some Alex Smith play (2012 Niners) then I think they will take Morris in the 2nd Round.

Interesting to see if the Jaguars come a calling. Fisch knows him pretty darn well but they may also need a QB in the first round.

I thought about this same thing. This draft could be a good one for Jacksonville. They don't have to stretch for a good QB, because of the depth and Stemo who will go late first/early 2nd will also be familiar with the OC and flourished under that OC. Also Stemo in Jville will already have a stud receiver in Blackmon.

Something else to keep in mind is a drop to back half of the round could be beneficial for Stemo if he ends up on even a half decent team.

The Jaguars should trade MJD NOW. They have nothing to play for, they likely won't resign him and another early pick would greatly help them.

Fair point, but I doubt they can get an early pick for him right now. I think they'd be lucky to get a 3rd round pick for him at this point.

He has a cannon for a right arm, decent size and wheels. He'll get a shot. He's gonna wow at the combine when he starts winging deep outs with ease.

Let's say they could get a 3rd round pick, why not trade him? If they are already "throwing in the towel" and not resigning him, why not get a 3rd round pick next season? They need a ton of quality starters and many more picks.

Right now they have their normal picks plus (1) 4th Round and (2) 5th Round

They need a lot more higher picks.

Morris has three huge games ahead of him. FSU, probably Clemson, in ACC title game, and NC. They will determine a big part of his future. He has FNL body and arm. He makes all the NFL throws. Any vertical team will give him strong look. He has room to improve and has shown he can. Brings no baggage or external negatives. Think he goes in 1st.

Henderson will show up at combine and everyone will go "oh wow!". Had he been more consistant and less trouble he would be top 5. Now teams will hope he drops and they can get him cheap in 2nd round, but I doubt he makes it out of the late picks in 1st round.

VT game isn't big?
