Mongario Gonna Mongario

I said this in April and you’re going to see it in the portal results this off-season when we land no one

It’s over for him folks. The money is already minuscule compared to our peers
Yea Right GIF

It’s not good man. Mario has been given infinitely more resources to date than manny ever had. Manny had to deal with no NIL and Big School bags. Mario has people who funded that stuff. If he couldn’t get to the ACCCG with this QB and Schedule, this NIL… it’s not likely to happen under his tenure but fight the good fight. I’ll Hope for you and a few others to be right.
And he won "infinitely more" in games and recruiting than Manny did too lol. Wait do you think Mario hasn't had to deal with big School bags in the new NIL world? ha.

Why does THIS YEAR results mean next year or the year after we won't be able to get further? lol. That makes zero sense. Ask yourself who the best recruits we have gotten are and when they are going to be Juniors. That is when we should be the best - as long as we can also hit at QB. With this ACC and THIS Schedule... are we going to be in the ACC next year or did that change?

2022 Class we finished 13th in recruiting. Those guys are juniors. Wanna guess where we finish in the rankings this year?
2023 Class we finisehd 7th in recruiting. We will see where we finish in the rankings next year
2024 Class we finished 4th in recruiting. But sure lets say its impossible for us to improve on this season lol.

Respectfully, you're delusional. Mario isn't building anything. Every coach over the past two decades here had that one "progress season" of 9+ wins. Then the massive regression the following season. This is going no where.

I was a proponent of giving Lyle more touches. After his first few, I quickly realized my mistake and that this was Martinez’s game.

Damien Martinez: 10 carries for 84 yards
Mark Fletcher: 13 for 46.

WHAT THE **** ARE YOU DOING MARIO.
Staff must be listening to CIS. Everyone **** on Martinez most of the year and wanted Fletch to see more carries. Young Lyle shows out in the second half of a couple games and they wanted him to start lol

So you are entirely basing next seasons results on the fact historically over the last 2 decades we have regressed after a 9+ win season.... and I'm the delusional one?

I take that to mean if we don't regress Mario has just done something special... in your opinion?

So we pony up more $ for the portal and if we win 10 games again, then **** him?

I'm just trying to get a benchmark here
Not necessarily.

I mentioned it above, but there’s a few factors as to why I think this November finish was extremely disappointing given the following situation.

- FSU was historically ***
- Louisville was decent but not great
- UNC was down
- Clemson was down
- We were extremely fortunate with injuries. OL where we’re deep, we missed Rivers for like 2 conference games. No QB, RB, WR injuries, no DT injuries other than Barrow for one half, no LB injuries, etc. Very healthy overall, certainly more than you can say about pretty much every top 10 team. A lot of these teams had multiple starters out for the year.

- Best offense in America
- Best QB in America

I think it’s unrealistic to assume we’ll be either of those things next year, making the bar lower.

Additionally, the schedule is much tougher on paper. I’d say as of right now, ball parking who we lose, this is a 7-8 win team at most (pre portal acquisitions).

In fact, if we win 10 again, I think that would be pretty good. We have to play UF, ND, SMU, VT, NC State, Pitt, Cuse, Louisville, etc.

But given how it all shook out, losing two of three late…especially when you controlled your own destiny and were double digit favorites…not a ringing endorsement from me.

4-9 in November now, it’s more than a coincidence. I was actually so pumped to start out hot, actually look prepared…and then it completely fell apart.

1. Ancient, Caveman decision to kick inside the 10. Imagine trusting your defense.

2. You want to blame Guidry? That’s Mario’s second-failed DC hire. You want to blame the players? This YEAR 3 of Mario recruited players.

I remember when three years ago, we told Manny to kick rocks for not making ACC title in year 3. I remember the same with Golden. Even Richt got there.

We are now providing infinitely more money and Mario royally ****ed down his leg again. This team wasted a Heisman-caliber QB by losing two of three games to Georgia Tech and SYRACUSE. This team completely regressed as it did in 2023 and 2022.

You guys want to believe in Mario? Go for it. Will I still root for Miami? Sure, I can’t stop. It’s a curse.

But this guy can’t win when it matters. Go enjoy your Rose Bowls and PAC-12 championships, live in the past like Miami loves to do. This team wasted a 21-0 lead and was out scored 41-17 down the stretch. Really great. Good signs of a well-coached team.

Two losses to two teams as a double digit favorite. Good thing we canceled OV’s to focus on the last two weeks of the regular season. Y’all kept saying how good this team was when we skated by Wake, Duke, VT, Cal, just a team that turns up in the second half.

You play with fire, you get burned. Expect more of this until Mario’s tenure ends. I’m out on him. He’s our Gareth Southgate.

Let’s see what the offseason has in store. I’m sure the slurpers will defend this like no other, and I’m ready to bring the @‘s all day for it. I’m done listening to the goal posts move.

So if we win 7 games next year and he's fired and we pay the buyout I'll ask again lmao and then what?

If we win 7 in Year 4? I mean I think he should be fired, I just don’t know if the administration will do that.

Are you asking who I think could realistically come in to replace him, hypothetically speaking?

If you can't follow what I am saying, then there is no point in speaking to you further. Mario is not building anything. I was right about all the others. I'm right about him too. Nothing different from him than the others before him. Team has no culture and no identity. He's not it.

Tough times for Canes Connection.

Year 3 Mario can’t beat Syracuse with Cam Ward at QB, basketball loses to Charleston Southern after losing 10 straight to close last season, and baseball is coached by JD Arteaga and missed the tournament.

At least we have the Cavinder’s for a couple more months?

Yes lmao I'm looking for a solution or answer. If you think firing Mario is the right choice, then who do you replace him with?
