Mongario Gonna Mongario

If you look at it from the macro perspective, 10 wins is awesome. We all said 10 and an ACCCG appearance was the expectation. We got the first part.

But the fact of the matter is, the finish was reminiscent of prior Miami teams, despite a very manageable path, totally in our control.

- The best QB in the country
- The best offense in America
- FSU and Clemson down
- Louisville average
- UNC a non-factor
- the healthiest team in America

The expectations changed as soon as November rolled around. It was make the ACCCG, or bust. Make the playoff, or bust.

And boy, did we combust into flames at the very first sign of meaningful football against GT. Then we got a gift, and we proceeded to do it again against Syracuse.

I can excuse one loss. Two? No. Especially not as a double digit favorite. And lastly, especially not in November.

How you finish is more important than how you start.
We finished before we started 🤣

I agree. I've heard this song and dance before by slurpers. Praised Shannon in 2009 after winning 9 games as "progress." Praised Al Golden after he won 9 games in 2013 as "progress." Praised Mark Richt after he won 10 games in 2017 as "progress." Praised Manny Diaz in 2020 after he won 9 games as "progress." THEN, the next season happened. Boys and Girls, Mario Cristobal is not building a gawd da*n motherf**king thing!! This story will end like all the others before him and I'm sick and tired of this 20 years of f**king bulls**t. See if Urban will come out of retirement. With our NIL, maybe you can get where you need to by selling your sold to the devil himself.
The issue is deeper than Mario. As a Bears fan, I can tell you that incompetence for that long stems from a total systemic rot starting at the top. The years of bad coaches is just a symptom. If Mario is responsible for the coaches and players underneath him (he is), then the people who hired Mario need to be held accountable too. The people who did that are not serious people. And if they are serious people, then they are incompetent when it comes to building a championship level football program. Watching this Texas/Tamu game is a stark reminder of how far behind we are.

Mario got the results with one of the best collectives in the country. 10-2 was the ceiling.

Now that the contributions won’t be the same, results will correlate. I’m not sure what’s so hard to understand.

What’s the roster and record look like if you cut $3-5M of players off the squad? Cut Cam, Barrow, etc. and where are we?

Sounds like there's almost no point in being a fan if that's the case. If $20 mil get's you 10 wins then we're looking at 7-8 wins from here on out. Not a pretty picture.

One of the people who helped install him...the Board of Trustees (in their infinite wisdom) named him president for some inexplicable reason. Nothing will change.

1. Ancient, Caveman decision to kick inside the 10. Imagine trusting your defense.

2. You want to blame Guidry? That’s Mario’s second-failed DC hire. You want to blame the players? This YEAR 3 of Mario recruited players.

I remember when three years ago, we told Manny to kick rocks for not making ACC title in year 3. I remember the same with Golden. Even Richt got there.

We are now providing infinitely more money and Mario royally ****ed down his leg again. This team wasted a Heisman-caliber QB by losing two of three games to Georgia Tech and SYRACUSE. This team completely regressed as it did in 2023 and 2022.

You guys want to believe in Mario? Go for it. Will I still root for Miami? Sure, I can’t stop. It’s a curse.

But this guy can’t win when it matters. Go enjoy your Rose Bowls and PAC-12 championships, live in the past like Miami loves to do. This team wasted a 21-0 lead and was out scored 41-17 down the stretch. Really great. Good signs of a well-coached team.

Two losses to two teams as a double digit favorite. Good thing we canceled OV’s to focus on the last two weeks of the regular season. Y’all kept saying how good this team was when we skated by Wake, Duke, VT, Cal, just a team that turns up in the second half.

You play with fire, you get burned. Expect more of this until Mario’s tenure ends. I’m out on him. He’s our Gareth Southgate.

Let’s see what the offseason has in store. I’m sure the slurpers will defend this like no other, and I’m ready to bring the @‘s all day for it. I’m done listening to the goal posts move.
Post of the Day! Agree 100%

And one more thing:

The grace period is OVER. Rhett Lashlee took our scrubs and made the ship in Year 2.

Mario brought in his boys and lost two of the last three games of the season. Contrary to popular belief, you can win within your first two years. You can turn a program around in a short period.

TWENTY MILLION DOLLAR ROSTER.
Appreciate the honest thoughts. I am way to old to keep giving people currency that wasn't earned. I'm also agreeing 100 with your ball tingling shredding of this inept staff

Im confused. I was asking why the donors for NIL change their tuned for 25 and beyond. This reads more as an opinion (which I don't disagree with it).

Was this all opinion to begin with? Maybe i misread your original point. Originally thought you had heard something.
