Mongario Gonna Mongario

If you can't follow what I am saying, then there is no point in speaking to you further. Mario is not building anything. I was right about all the others. I'm right about him too. Nothing different from him than the others before him. Team has no culture and no identity. He's not it.
This is what scares me. With Cam leaving, what are we? Maybe a tough running team? Big question mark about us heading into year 4 of Mario. That’s scary

Yes, me too. That much should be clear by now in year three. It isn't. We weren't the more physical team against Syracuse or Georgia Tech. Are we a finesse, high octane team? I have no idea. Are all the players on the same page? Clearly, the defense wasn't.

If you look at it from the macro perspective, 10 wins is awesome. We all said 10 and an ACCCG appearance was the expectation. We got the first part.

But the fact of the matter is, the finish was reminiscent of prior Miami teams, despite a very manageable path, totally in our control.

- The best QB in the country
- The best offense in America
- FSU and Clemson down
- Louisville average
- UNC a non-factor
- the healthiest team in America

The expectations changed as soon as November rolled around. It was make the ACCCG, or bust. Make the playoff, or bust.

And boy, did we combust into flames at the very first sign of meaningful football against GT. Then we got a gift, and we proceeded to do it again against Syracuse.

I can excuse one loss. Two? No. Especially not as a double digit favorite. And lastly, especially not in November.

How you finish is more important than how you start.
You know things are bad on D when I immediately thought going for it on 4th and goal and then trying an onsides kick was the best solution for Miami to try to win. This D massively regressed since vatech game. Was it all lack of talent? Was it all coaching? Was it a combo? .

How is our talent evaluations on D that much worse than on offense? Or is it really?

Why did Mario being the head coach not step in at some point yesterday maybe at halftime and try to force adjustments on D?

It's as if Mario has to have great coordinators to be successful here.

Just asking questions and speculating as yesterday was maybe the most devastating loss since 2005 gatech or 1998 Cuse.

I hope Mario can turn it around but I am concerned.

Once again I’ve been attacked for pointing this out. It’s hard to find coaches that do less with more than Mario. We all knew coaching wasn’t his strength but these stats are mind blowing.
if we cant make the ACC CG with this roster and this QB, it'll never happen.

I can enjoy 10 wins if this was something repeatable. it isnt. the offense was at its peak with the best qb in the country. that'll never happen again especially w the way were recruiting there.

there is a massive regression coming next year from the O.

$20 mil another CIS fabrication.

I love how this board comes up with new made up things after every loss.

OSU spent $20 mil on their roster as has been
Open stated by them and talked about on just about even college football show this seasons.

Now look at their roster and look at this roster and honesty think if they cost the same.
Dude, you actually have a problem with anything critical posted about Mario too. Maybe you belong on Gaby’s board, and I’m not even trying to be an *** here. They don’t tolerate any critical thinking on that site, so maybe you’re better off there if some of these hard-hitting facts are bothering you.

I saw your rant yesterday about CIS being unbearable now. All these complaints are legitimate, except you have posters that refuse to do anything but shower Mario with praise.

Go ask D$ if you don’t believe me regarding roster cost 🤷🏻‍♂️

If it’s not 20 mil, it’s **** close. It’s comparable to Ohio State’s, and that’s not only out of his mouth, but a separate golden canes member that I know whose a booster himself. We spent like a top 4 team this year, and are the only one of those teams not in the playoff.

Ohio State
Oregon

And one more thing:

The grace period is OVER. Rhett Lashlee took our scrubs and made the ship in Year 2.

Mario brought in his boys and lost two of the last three games of the season. Contrary to popular belief, you can win within your first two years. You can turn a program around in a short period.

TWENTY MILLION DOLLAR ROSTER.
Exactly!!!

1. Ancient, Caveman decision to kick inside the 10. Imagine trusting your defense.

2. You want to blame Guidry? That’s Mario’s second-failed DC hire. You want to blame the players? This YEAR 3 of Mario recruited players.

I remember when three years ago, we told Manny to kick rocks for not making ACC title in year 3. I remember the same with Golden. Even Richt got there.

We are now providing infinitely more money and Mario royally ****ed down his leg again. This team wasted a Heisman-caliber QB by losing two of three games to Georgia Tech and SYRACUSE. This team completely regressed as it did in 2023 and 2022.

You guys want to believe in Mario? Go for it. Will I still root for Miami? Sure, I can’t stop. It’s a curse.

But this guy can’t win when it matters. Go enjoy your Rose Bowls and PAC-12 championships, live in the past like Miami loves to do. This team wasted a 21-0 lead and was out scored 41-17 down the stretch. Really great. Good signs of a well-coached team.

Two losses to two teams as a double digit favorite. Good thing we canceled OV’s to focus on the last two weeks of the regular season. Y’all kept saying how good this team was when we skated by Wake, Duke, VT, Cal, just a team that turns up in the second half.

You play with fire, you get burned. Expect more of this until Mario’s tenure ends. I’m out on him. He’s our Gareth Southgate.

Let’s see what the offseason has in store. I’m sure the slurpers will defend this like no other, and I’m ready to bring the @‘s all day for it. I’m done listening to the goal posts move.

Excellent analysis!

Same old **** show-

Same old coach speak-

Nothing gets fixed-

It’s an indictment of his incompetence-

Been a Miami fan for a very long time-

Im convinced more than ever we won’t ever sniff a chip unless he get a home run hire-

OP mentioned our former OC-He’s been brilliant in just 2 years and with some of our former talent-

The way this season ended is whats going to be the worse cut. This is now a narrative and it will follow us. Again, his dumbass fist pound on the podium was typical Mario. Trying to rub in something agsinst a ****** team who had just out FIZICAL'D your *** is not the right move.

Does anyone thing the gata doesn't pass us in recruiting? They are showing promise, development, and are pumping in the money for their run starting in 2026. We're limping severely to the finish line.

The narrative is what's going to be our enemy. We won't close with a big bang on the trail and we'll have to over pay the **** out of the portal guys. If we don't land the premier QB in the portal i hate to think of going into next year with this as our QB room:
Poff
Emory
Judd
Luke

This is what's the worse part of how the season ended. For those saying 10 win's is an improvement......we should have never had the records we had in the first two years with our roster and schedule.

I just don’t think asking Mario to step in and make adjustments is something he’s capable of doing. He’s not an Xs and Os guy at all. His appeal has always been that he can recruit talent. He’s never been a cerebral coach. Dabo ain’t some genius schemer either. He only became successful after he demanded that CU spend top dollar on the best coordinators available.

He's not it, Cribby. I know that you know. He's not building anything here. I wanted to believe and I swear on my children if he would have won yesterday, I would have supported him even if we regressed next season because at least there was some real success to point to. What has this guy done here of note? He has the same record of the guy he replaced. And you're paying him more and have top NIL program to support him. Absolutely dumbfounding

"Google him"

I know who he is. He is also 63 years old. How much more does he got in the tank
You don't need a Cignetti per se. What Miami needs is someone who has multiple stops of proven success not just a flash in the pan coach. Mario was propped up by Nike money and Justin Herbert. Oregon has shown to be better off without him
