He had the 4th highest winning percentage among active coaches over a 15 year period. You want to use Georgia's definition of elite, go right ahead and root for Kirby Smart and that freight train he has up in Athens.

And I bet Richt, Georgia AD, and all of their fans would have thrown the win percentage stat out the window for some actual success. 2 conference titles in 15 years, losing record against your rival (Florida) and no national championship appearance much less win in 15 years is not elite. No coach that isn't the miami coach being discussed by miami fans with that kind of **** list is being called elite.


He is a good coach, in the top half of the power 5, he is not elite with his results that matter - trophies.

Coach with the 4th highest winning percentage - eh he's in the top 60 of coaches. Would rather have Gene Chizik and his real results. Only on CIS.
 
This was Richt's year. Had an extremely easy schedule with more than enough talent. We should have won 10-11 games and got the ball rolling in the right direction, but instead it was par for the course. Now he'll have to restablish Miami and his prestige under less favorable conditions, I don't think he can do it.

So the coaches that coached up a freshman all-American wide receiver and patched together a few very steady boundary corners while the cupboard is pretty bare need to get out of your face? makes sense.

I know right, I have no idea why we get upset over the smallest things like recruiting talented wide receivers.

So next time Brad Kaka or another QB takes a sack because none of the receivers we signed in 2017 were worth a **** and could get separation from the DB we need to remember how small that is.

so only 5 star receivers get open according to your gump *** logic. What about all the other receivers who get drafted that don't go to Miami. You Miami homers are starting to be real losers. We are a middle of the road program stop acting like it's the Patriots and we can grab Floyd off waivers and still win every game by 10. Lol Let's see if Dugans can coach up his unit. Harley is a very good fit in our offense. We offered some slugs ahead of him and were way too late.

Slaton took far too long to get prioritized.

RB recruiting right now has been mediocre.

There is a long list. In my mind, these guys need to be identified a year ahead of time and prioritized correctly. Always room for pop-up guys, but the way they'd done it is very confusing to me.

Larry Coker has a cabinet full of conference titles and a national title. We should have hired him. He's got the hardware to prove he's elite.

Georgia fan trying to become a Miami fan. Lots of posters on here are delusional. Miami hasn't been good for a looooong time. Its going to take a couple of more recruiting cycles to get back to the Miami glory days. Miami has a handful of very good players, a bunch of good to average players and some other players that shouldn't be here. Stop kidding yourself about this year, we had an average team that got better after the 4 game losing streak. I expect a 10 win season next year and then compete for the ACC title in 2018.
 
I don't think banners accomplish anything. I think that Al Golden would have been fired at more or less the same time in the absence of any banners.
