Michael Johnson Jr to Penn State

Not going to happen doesn't fit the agenda.

I don't think it's a big deal & we can always find a another QB.

But you can guarantee anytime we miss on an equally rated defensive player their will be dozens of threads blasting Diaz & Banda.

Don’t forget rumph too like we didn’t get other impressive DB’s.

Not nearly as much.

I tend to typically agree with you, but not here. You got Perry and Williams which fit this system. Both can move but are pass first guys. Johnson is definitely in that mode and will be grown man when he arrives. A championship offensive line takes a full 4-year cycle to bring in the right prospects and depth. Pretty darn good haul in 2017 and 2018 and more coming in 2019.

Big-time fail.

Putting all your eggs in one single basket to show a guy he's the only one.....then be left at the alter.

Even for those who think we don't need a QB this cycle, or those who don't think he's a legit QB with his throwing talent, it's still an eyesore bc everyone saw how much time and effort was put into this guy and how confident they were he would be a Cane.

So I guess we should stop recruiting with 4 months to go until early signing and 6 months to go in regular signing. Remind me again, when did Miami offer Jarren Williams?

His nephew is in the mold of David Greene or Matthew Stafford or Aaron Murray and looks to be better schooled mechanically. Johnson should have a big junior year. He has matured at least physically.

Not knocking Johnsons skills at all, I just don't understand what he looking for in a QB and why he insists on putting all his eggs in one basket year after year. If his looking for the tall prototypical QB, then why recruit only MJJ (who looks like more of a dual threat). Just not sure about some of these decisions and it's frustrating cause we have a seasoned HC would been around for awhile. Everybody could see Sitkowski wasnt it last year. We lucked out with Jarren. We essentially camped out in Oregon for MJJ and overlooked a kid who Clemson thought was good enough to bring into their program (and he seemed very interested). Just very confused

LoL, here comes the negative nancies. We dont need a qb this year, let's be real, that man wasnt gone sit behind kosi, & jarren, he wants to play soon. Had this staff been able to pull that off and get mjj to commit, now that would have been impressive. Also, that young man mentally, Miami wasnt the place for him. Next year is when we dont want to miss on a qb. We still got cade weldon as well, unless somebody transfers, we straight at qb over here.

Would've been even more fun had he chose Fsu, Psu is his home now, so congratulations to him and coach franklin. People crying about a qb that more than likely wasnt gone start here till 2023 at the earliest probably. Again we want Canes at heart to commmit here, not fence straddlers. This staff knows what they are doing, you not gone win them all but their approach to qb, so far so good, 2 out of 3 aint bad, next year is the critical year, but this staff know that, they may even go after 2 next hear, but who cares, it's all about rosier, kosi cade & jarren, those are our qb's.

Jarren must have told him "You ain't starting as a freshman here bro" when he hosted him on his OV.

We have no backup plan for the most important position on the field doesn’t matter how many skill guys you get if you can’t get them the ball.
This is a horrible cycle for qb recruiting. I would be fine passing on a qb. Not dwn for taking a qb for the sake of taking a qb.

The kid that committed to Clemson is likely not going to play or I wouldn't be surprised in the end if he signs elsewhere. They are all in with Lawrence who outperformed Bryant in their spring game. Will Lawrence win the job? At some point in the season. That kid from Connecticut sits for 3 years.

Michael Johnson II sees two good incumbent QB with experience ready to fight for a 2019 start, then in 2020 the coaches nephew potentially coming in. Its clearly that unless Michael Johnson walks on water and is willing to show how great he is, he will be a back up here or a transfer candidate during his sophomore year.

So what you are telling me the only high level D1 QB was MJJ this cycle?? Yea that doesn’t sound right that it was MJJ or bust.
No if we find a high level qb that has mutual interest we do wat we got to do but there are not that many out there and w.e. happens we will be fine at the position.

I like the way this staff recruits qb's, the track record is clear, "you're our guy, that's it" especially when we set up decent with 3 qb's ready to battle it out behind rosier. This staff is only looking to bring in an elite qb every cycle so there approach makes sense. As oppose to just log jamming the qb roster by getting one every year just for the sake of getting one. You can normally recruit a bunch of db's, o & d linemen, receivers, but you normally only bringing in 1 or 2 qb's so the margin of era is real small. I dont like to use this guys name as an example because he'll always go down in Cane lore for beating Fsu on that last drive in my book, but under coach richt, we not ending up with no more kirby freeman's on the roster.

Now if we dont get a qb recruit or 2 come next year, than yall can panic!

Dude man is erased from my memory bank.

tTime to move on and take the L(ump)

One thing is for sure, PSU aint winning **** anytime soon, just facts.
