Miami's defensive staff vs the competition (Recruiting).

Y’all are reaching so bad. Real resumes include first rd draft picks and top fligh guys year over year. We are talking about 5th-7th rd draft picks for one year haha. Just face it. Our staff doesn’t match up well in the recruiting trail!

There are plenty of examples of top players committing to young/inexperienced coaches.

It's really bizarre you think a coach needs at least 5 years of high level experience to recruit.

I would like to see a UGA vs Miami Head Coach to Head Coach and position coach to position coach lineup. I still haven't seen anyone tell me besides Kirby who these guys have coached up.

.. while "y'all" discredit on the field results.

They just played for a national championship while we #WARTCHEDTHEFIRNISH Al Golden style

Kirby and Richt have the same record through 2 years.

And Kirby inherited a loaded roster while Richt inherited Golden's mess.

But you're a butthurt troll who wanted the Miami program to fail and dissolve with Golden, so your hatred for Miami isn't a surprise

Just because someone coaches in the nfl doesnt mean they are equipped for college recruiting, Gms do that in the league and they dont have to kiss up to kids. CFB is way different u have to be a dog and have charisma to relate to the kids and as in dog I mean do whatever it takes to get a kid to sign.
yeah I cant picture him being the ace recruiter for georgia he's x's and o's period he had permanent scowl on his face as the bears d coordinator didnt seem to interact well the defensive players he doesnt seem relatable to kids to me. he can succeed there at georgia though with all the resources surrounding him to get top blue chip kids. but as far a selling kids on his time in the NFL they must not have read up on him

At what point do we stop blaming "The Bag Man" and just admit that we got out recruited?

Believe it or not, some staffs can actually recruit really well.

Slow day at work?! I don't disagree with your point but **** bro you knew this thread was going to go off like fireworks at a JPP 4th of July party.

You got me there, snowflake. Pointing out UGA playing for a NC makes me a troll. **** fine work

You're right.

Most of the bozos on this site won't admit it, but we just can't hang with the power players of college football at this point. Maybe we eventually will, but aren't right now. We're one of those teams that a REALLY GOOD RECRUITING CLASS will be in that like...7 to 12 range nationally. Still really good and something to get excited about...but its not Alabama or Georgia recruiting class great under Saban and Smart.

When I broke down our recruiting on the lines around signing day, showing the ridiculous lead these programs had us over the past full team cycle (five recruiting classes) it showed far more was at play than simple BAG MEN.

Our coaches may be green but they are developing players and, in due time, the results should start to show.

Mike Jack was a 3rd string CB under AG and rumph has developed him into a first rounder. He could of left this year and been drafted pretty high. Jaquan played LB under the previous staff and has been an all American caliber S under our new coaches. I'm not a fan of our defensive hires for the simple fact that I never heard of them before they got here but they do seem to be getting results. Maybe it will take some time for recruits to see what the coaches are really about.

I'm definitely playing close attention to CMRs hires tho. The Patke hire got me heated. I figured he'd get some 'help' with modernizing his playbook and with helfrich supposedly being around the program for a bit I got excited.

I agree to a certain extent. If you're a weak recruiter (rumph) then the bag game can be the difference maker for top recruits. They look at it that even if I'm a bust in college I still got a big bag that I don't get here.

Once Rumph gets some guys drafted in rounds 1 and 2 and they ball in the league, he'll be fine and kids won't see it as a risk and will turn down the bag knowing they have a better shot of going to the league here.

Macho, I’m new to buying in to the bags thing but here’s why I’m convinced that especially this recruiting season the word is out among the better players that theres money to be made. Most of the Miami targets are in Play to some degree and I would not be surprised if we lose most of them. Just look at their actions. The difference between this year and past years is that we’re not going to be left at the alter so be satisfied with the kids we are signing and hope we find some gems among them. I hate it but I’m convinced.

OL and DL is where the real difference shows itself.

Just like Tuckers DB's are fresh off an a$$ whooping from a true freshman qb and 3 true freshman wrs....

No offense, but that is dumb as ****. Do you think they gameplanned for that true freshman to come in and tear it up?

He played very sparingly during the season and is ridiculously talented as his performance showed. The WR's are young and just as green as the QB, but they were all top 5 recruits. WR, IMHO, is the easiest position to make an instant impact from one level to the next.

Saban made a ballsy call and that's why he makes the big money. He essentially turned the tables on how his team played in a quarter and some change. They prepared for it, Georgia didn't. Georgia didn't even have film to game plan with, so I will give then a pass on that.

I said after that game, that is what every team in college football has feared about Bama. Their ground heavy game can beat you, but if you have a real QB like they apparently have now, look out. They just raised the bar and have talent everywhere. You can't play them even and they have top five position guys at every position. They will be scary as **** this year.

I quoted the fact since he said a freshman took us to the woodshed... Regardless, 4 true freshman went off in 2 quarters against a upper class defense with arguably the "best lb", Smith, in America. Gameplan on QB or not, same plays were called except this time bama had a qb that could hit his throws. They were torched.... could you imagine if the shoe was on the other foot? Fans wouldn't be making excuses for us like you have just now for uga. Yes, you are right about bama having a QB now... that's what I dont understand why everyone believes Clemson will be the national champion this year.

In year 2 Richt had us in the Orange Bowl taking over a program that was ran by Al Golden.

Guess what Kirby inherited at UGA? And whom he inherited it from?

The two aren't the same thing.

Who the **** cares about the last 2 years? Kirby is going to sell his whole resume. SMH

Again, not looking at it from the perspective of a recruiter or recruit.

No way in world Canes have the funds to hire Kurby away from Ga.
