Miami vs NCAA Hearings Day 1

Swofford is there bc the ACC gets badly effed if they try to destroy us.

Ten years ago when UM and the ACC decided it was a good idea to marry, the goal was that UM would help make the ACC a premier football conference.

Miami being bad means less money for the ACC, who has been waiting almost 10 years for a BCS level Cane team.

Swofford had already made some strong comments in support of UM in past interviews. Essentially saying our self-imposed sanctions were very strong given the alleged violations, and that the NCAA taking so long to investigate was itself a very harsh penalty.

This would be for dismissal. Today is procedural. UM asked for the case to get tossed. NCAA says no and tomorrow is the day both sides present their cases.

#UM President Donna Shalala just walked out of the #NCAA meetings chewing gum. Think she may have also kicked some ...

So nice to have a conference commissioner in our corner. I have plenty of respect for Swofford. If we were still in the Big East, I bet Tranghese would be at the NCAA's table. What a douche-bag that guy was
