I have never read anything about good or bad opening statements in COI cases. Please provide an example.

this is not a traditional case, the opening statements are huge because the set the tone of the entire hearing. There is a reason why Haith left after the first day.

You literally have no idea the significance of opening statements in NCAA COI hearings, what Shalala even said in that opening statement, or why Haith is leaving.

So just just leave it at that. There is nothing to debate here.

The nSECaa doesn't care about basketball. They want to hammer football, bc the good ole boys from the SEC said to. That's why basketball gets off. Probably so the NCAA can save face in some way but still hammer football.

Pretty much dead on. Also UM is preparing for a fight, they are preparing on a sale. UM can't go ahead screaming lawsuit. We have to convince the committee of infractions that we have paid for what we admitted to doing and are somewhat of a victim of a bad investigation. We also have to show a commitment to compliance in the future.
