Miami is about to make a power move

Baez helped to get us players from Gulliver Prep.

We'll see what happens here if he does join the party at Miami....

I'm not sold on any of these south florida high school guys helping us one bit.

Total joke. Elite schools are getting studs; we are looking at high school guys with supposed ties to the community.

We have all seen how much Ice and Rumph have helped us luring stud recruits. No need to go down this road again.

By Pete using terms a "power move" the expectations have been raised to a point that there no way to he lives up to it.

Yea. Wouldnt say its a power move but its a good move as far as recruiting locally.

But selling it as a power move is click bait. Which may have been the only power move involved. Get peeps clicking away during dead period while only bad news is flying around.

It is only a good move if it works. Rumph and Ice ain't powered **** in recruiting for us as far as the hire a local moves go.

I know my opinion doesn't mean much, but if Cooney only brings Mark Pope then that's not a success by any means. Pete and Geo said he will net multiple guys and that's the only way he really is a success. I'm talking at least 5 guys or we should have hired someone that can get that many.

Rumph and ice was never plugged in locally like that other than coaching their own school. Cooney is being brought in for the sole reason of recruiting.

Even if we get Cooney I'm not too confident we get Pope. A power move would be firing a coach and hiring Charlie Partridge or a big name.

I can't remember JJ, Dennis or Butch hiring local high school coaches -- or any coaches for that matter -- primarily to ensure we land particular players. I guess it doesn't matter if the dude is being plugged into an admin position. But as a model, it seems absurd.

Colleges are doing that now. Harabaugh has 2 on his staff i believe.
