Dude, he's a good coach if they went 7-5. I'm not equating his salary to his his coaching ability. Your worth what the market is willing to pay.

All college coaches are overpaid. It use to be a sub $500k job. Why is is all of the sudden a problem because Tucker got paid. There's a bunch of mediocre and bad coaches that have made a lot of money.

The funny thing is you guys are judging Tucker like you have a vested Interest. Now that he got paid, your expectations have changed. They shouldn't.

As I said, if MSU overpaid (and they have) , it's their business and problem.

Funny how I don't hear anything about Sarkisian being overpaid for that clown show he has down there in Austin.

The fact is all coaches are overpaid for what amounts to entertainment for fans and bragging rights for the school. Basically, 75% of the coaches could be replaced for 10% of the cost and achieve the same mediocre results. Schools are overpaying for coaches hoping they'll become the next Saban.

Never underestimate this board's ability to make a controversial figure out of anyone. The man's a good coach. You can dissect his record and who he had, or didn't have, and who they had and didn't have, but they went 11-2. Bad coaches very seldom win 11 games, especially at a place like Michigan State where the recruiting base is really thin.

Nobody’s offering ol Mel another job next year unless he wins a NC. At what he’s getting paid, he’ll either prove he’s worth it or prove he’s not before getting an offer from anybody.

Let’s keep it a buck when coaches that are not black get over paid, it’s ok but when a black coach gets paid people who’s pocket didn’t contribute to the contract have an opinion! Hmmmm!
