lol. How people forget... Duke was monster as a freshman and had the best true freshman year by a RB at a school that has produced better RBs than anybody. And he was fast as ****..

Duke is great, I'm a big fan but what I'm saying McFarland is running that fast while being 205 already

No he isnt. Duke was faster as a freshmen than he is now. He was only 185 then which helps but he got up to 206 and ran a 4.54 at the combine and 4.47 at the pro day. Mcfarland is 203 now and 40 was timed at 4.53.
mcfarland looks fast in the film I had seen. Regardless McFarland is a duke johnson type of back. This kid can play receiver and running back very well

He has speed but its more similar to duke as a jr. That still enough speed to score from anywhere as you saw duke break plenty long runs. And if he stays healthy he probably will get faster.

Vern lost any credibility he ever had, once he started this Gus fetish of his.

McFarland is a faster Duke with better size coming in.

So what? Jeff Demps was one of the fastest rbs ever and sucked compared to Duke.

Straight line speed isn't everything. Duke didn't lose speed whe cut and his vision was also great.

Jeff Demps is my height and weighs like 140 pounds

He weighed 191 lbs his first year in the nfl...

He's listed at 175 on the first site I saw. I made a joke with the 140. I don't care what he really weighs.

McFarland is 10x that size now, genius.

Lmao, so 10lbs = 10x

You can't be asian, baw...

Bruh you compared Jeff Demps' weight in his first year in the NFL to McFarland's weight in his senior year in HIGH SCHOOL. lol. McFarland's 205 now and gonna be a 225lb tank by the time he plays in the NFL.

McFarland himself said that he ran a 4.3 between his sophomore and junior years but was clocked at 4.53 with the extra 20lbs. at the opening. No one has seen him in pads with that added weight. Now you're assuming another 20lbs to 225 lbs will be a good thing? Are you fcking fat Al Golden?

Please stop. This thread has become a mess. Any non Nike Opening or non NFL combine 40 time should not be trusted. As was posted in another thread, if 40 high school times were accurate, then why do players at the NFL combine run slower 40s than they did in high school?

Let's be honest. This kid will probably be really good, hopefully great, but he's no Cook. Can we wait until he plays a few series before we start saying that he's just as good or just as fast as NFL players or guys we know are going in the 1st round.

Cook is one of the best to ever come out of south Florida talent wise, fsu not even bringing in a back like him.imo Not even cam Akers, did y'all know he played pretty much the same position as deejay Dallas and was never a true running back?

Macfarland has dalvin cook burst and speed aint no joke

lol, just outta curiosity who in the nfl has dalvin cook speed and burst, not saying he's the fastest NFL guy but just curious when being compared to HS guys

Jamaal charles.

I think that's close, but I still think Cook is on another level. Other than maybe Deion and Hester, I've never seen someone reach their top speed as fast as cook does. All he needs is a step or two before he's at his top speed.

With that being said I hope he has a horrible
NFL career.
