why can't briscoe just be a dt here and hamilton and o'donnell ends? like we've had in the past?

I don't think anyone believes we're going to exclusively run a 3-4, but Golden and D'Onofrio have mentioned several times they want to be multiple up front, just like they were at Temple.

We're still putting the personnel together to do it. We have a couple noses and some bigger DEs, but we don't have the LBs yet, both in body type and shear numbers.

The spot Shayon Green is playing this year is going to flex between d-end and linebacker. Green has played a little linebacker this year, but he's lost all his explosiveness with these knee injuries. Tyriq McCord has played a little linebacker too.

We are saying that we will run multiple fronts meaning depending on down and distance we can interchange between a 4-3 and a 3-4....THIS ISNT NEWS, WEVE BEEN DOIN THIS SINCE LAST YEAR

This kid's going to play anywhere he goes, but especially here. We are absolutely dying for someone who can get off the ball and pressure a quarterback. He can do it very well. His athleticism is such that he's going to be valuable even before he puts on all the weight he still definitely needs to add.
