Mario- quit hanging Cam out to dry

Again people blaming Mario for Ward playing a half are sick. Ward and his agent played their card. They have all the power now. HC are at their mercy

I'll say this, is there any doubt that everybody, including Cam, regrets how they handled this?

There's zero chance Cam and Mario are both going to sleep tonight happy with the way this played out.

I understand a decision was made and they were sticking to it, but with the way the game played out, Cam had one last chance at glory. He comes in on that last drive and makes 2 or 3 throws (40 yards) to get us into field goal range and everything is completely different.
No questions asked.
First win season in 11 years
One more heroic comeback to remember and end his career here

I just find it hard to believe the two of them couldn't just talk for a minute and make a change for a chance and opportunity like this. It's frustrating and I'm sure they'll both regret not taking the chance.
I think Camis sleeping just fine. He probably had second thoughts but he led us to 10 games, we win 5 max if he wasn’t the qb. Now Mario is probably staying up late

Cam actually gave us a great chance to see what the team would look like without him if you ask me, so if you’re mad at Cam ***** you.

Only an issue because there is nothing else to talk about. Once the playoff games are played. People will forget this bowl game even existed.

There are no good answers IMO. At the end of the day, they didn't play to win the game. This was a scrimmage with pop tart mascots running around the field.

Non-playoff bowl games are officially dying off now. Who is going to pay top dollar to see these "games" anymore? Not me.
They did play the first half to win the game. They went into the second half with a small lead and then the run game gave them a two score lead. They trusted that the defense and Emory would be able to hang on. Misplaced trust and bad coaching calls made that a laughable decision

Sorry, IMO you don't "half" try and win the game. You either try to win the game or you don't. They went into the game knowing they were going to pull that bs and it officially became a scrimmage/exhibition.

It's like when you play around with your kids. You play all out at first and then go easy on them so they win in the end. It was not an actual competition because you let up in the end.

This is college football these days and it sucks.

I guess I didn't express it well. I DO think they went into the game wanting/intending to play to win. The sad part is they knew they were depending on Emory and the defense to hold it up in the second half. maybe they thought they'd have a bigger lead when Cam went out. Who knows.

I do NOT think it was looked at as a scrimmage or spring game. IDK who started that narrative but I don't believe it.

Come on man. At the end of the day, they did not give their best effort to win the game. What do you call it then other than a scrimmage? A joke maybe?

What other game would this "agreement" be acceptable in this year? "Well, we really wanted to beat Cal, but we decided Cam wouldn't play the 2nd half before the game so we will just rely on Emory to win the game for us. BTW, we REALLY want to win. We really do." Give me a break.

It’s wild that anyone is criticizing Cam at this point. In today’s climate, no one is playing in this game if put in Cam’s situation. It’s amazing he even played today.
Buddy teased the fanbase - dangled the pack of bread just outside of arms length to a starving man. What did Mario and Cam expect?

We’d been better off just letting Mario/Dawson run with Emory and Judd and let things play out on the field.

The one thing it did for Cam was show that he can make players around him better - without 3 of his top 4 receivers and was still unstoppable
