Mario- quit hanging Cam out to dry

Think About It GIF by Identity

Oh. And you’d have to have a learning disability to be a skill player and want to play with the back up QB. What can they be seeing to possibly think he’s serviceable.

This is 100% right take^ this is one of my gripes with mario is just the fact that he either thinks too hard about what he should and shouldn't do as a coach and just isnt really himself and comes off as lost and makes him look dumb and unprepared rather than a position of power of his locker room which is what he is going for.

Mario is a great recruiter so he must be either inspirational or a good talker or something that sits well with kids and families but on the sidelines and in press conferences you get none of that. Is he just trying to emulate Saban by being mysterious or does he just not really have an identity and the personality of a wet paper bag?

He could have just said "We had agreed prior that he was only playing the first half" and avoided having Gaby, D$ and others cover for him on twitter afterwards.

The underlying motivation is he’d be forced to admit that he wanted to see how his potential QB for next looked and unfortunately he showed who he is.

He knows he needs to find a Quarterback now and probably still wants to keep the price low.

But you can’t f… over the guy who elevated the program.

I am watching the BYU Colorado game and one of the announcers after slobbering all over how he would be a Sanders guy over Cam Ward and hand it to the other guy who says I am sure that at the combine they will be asking cam questions about sitting out the second half.

This is total bull****

That's so freaking stupid. Cam didn't need to play and looked better in a half of football than Sanders has this whole game. Ward had nothing to prove.

I'll say this, is there any doubt that everybody, including Cam, regrets how they handled this?

There's zero chance Cam and Mario are both going to sleep tonight happy with the way this played out.

I understand a decision was made and they were sticking to it, but with the way the game played out, Cam had one last chance at glory. He comes in on that last drive and makes 2 or 3 throws (40 yards) to get us into field goal range and everything is completely different.
No questions asked.
First win season in 11 years
One more heroic comeback to remember and end his career here

I just find it hard to believe the two of them couldn't just talk for a minute and make a change for a chance and opportunity like this. It's frustrating and I'm sure they'll both regret not taking the chance.
