Mario, Dawson, and Cam cost us the game

Anyone blaming cam doesn't understand football or didn't watch the game
Reality of it is that Cam was bad this game. As awful as the defense was they had 2 crucial stops to end the first half and couldn't capitalize and even in the 4th quarter the defense got 2 stops. We score on one of the stops and Cam fumbles on the next. All that on top of 4-14 on 3rd and 4th downs.

Criticism is out of love wouldn't trade Cam for anyone else but he set the standard high and he played below what hes capable of despite what the box score says.

We need to attack the middle of the field more, with the Tightend, and with the running backs, instead of leaking out to the flats all the time, id like to see them cut back in the the middle of the field - give Cam something coming open in front of him

Cam missed dudes all game doing the same dumb **** he’s been doing all season.

Dawson only call meaningful plays when we have to comeback and is the most Dr. Jeckel/Mr. Hyde coordinator I’ve ever seen.

Don’t tell me about Guidry. They got the stops they needed to win the game and at the end of the day that’s all that matters.
Insane takes. Mix in a water

This team wins 7-8 games without Ward.

What we really should be questioning is Mario’s track record hiring coaches, development, evaluations, and propensity to get worse throughout the season.

But y’all don’t want to hear that.
Lol 7-8 wins without Ward?

Idk what games y'all been watching but we would be LUCKY to win 7.

Seth Meyers Lol GIF by Late Night with Seth Meyers

Can’t run from this. Almost every game this season UM is in a dogfight before getting its **** together. Goes for both offense and defense. “Top offense in the country” - why can’t we jump out to a lead and cruise? Maybe the defense would be a lot better if
we played with a big lead, Teams had to pass to catch up,
and D could pin its ears back and play aggressively to try and force turnovers. Hasn’t happened in ACC play except for FSU.

Hopefully this gets people’s attention like Herbstreits comment did.

For me it's not that we lost, it's the way the loss happened. We were physically dominated all game. How can I be sitting at home knowing bum *** hurt shoulder Haynes King is not going to throw the ball but our defense doesn't? That kid's play fakes are not that good. We just don't play with any eye discipline.

We look like a jv team on defense going against the varsity offense. This is game after game. It's embarrassing we could not shut down what that offense was today. Guidry should be shown the door immediately.

The offense wasn't much better. Cam was off after the second play of the game until late. There was times where nobody was open but it's like he wasn't trusting what he was seeing. Dawson can make some nice play calls but more often than not he makes some definite head scratchers. WE SUCK AT WR SCREENS. I never want to see those again.

Probably the worst part of all is knowing what they were working with, GT game planned a motion heavy offense to run the ball. That is coaching. That is putting your players in the best possible situation to succeed. We never show anything different on offense. It's the same run time and time again. It's like we don't try to scheme up a running play to be chunk yardage. Mario and Dawson must be happy getting a few yards and if one out of 30 pop then great.

There is a lot more but I'm getting to ****ed to continue.

Doesn’t help that it looks like Bain’s rehab plan was eating chicharrons.

If this is our one loss I’ll take it. Even with all that happened we still had a chance to win at the end

Our weakness just came back to bite us, and this time the offense couldn’t save us. Don’t think it was because of lack of effort or them overlooking GT, which would have been a lot more concerning

But I’m also not naive enough to think the defense is magically gonna get fixed in two weeks lol. It is what it is as this point. Mario’s gonna have decisions to make in the offseason, it’s not just a talent issue.
"If this is our one loss"

Unfortunately that is a big IF right now.
I think if in the two remaining games if our offense scores 30+ we win. If we don’t we will probably be in trouble.

We are here defending a defense that gave up 28 to a QB that couldn't throw the ball down field all game. Literally kew what was coming at them with a 2 QB system and it was on the offense because they missed a couple plays. Yes, the offense missed plays. The defense has been doing the same all year. It's on tape. Every team is going to continue to shift and motion all year. We won't adjust. The offense needs to play like the defense doesn't exist beccaus they don't and we will just see what happens from there.

Let's blame Cam Ward while the QB has an injured throwing shoulder and didn't complete a downfield pass over 5 yards.FOH!!!! You are grasping at straws with the "the offense missed here" "what if" the defense is what it is and the offense didn't save them today. Cam could have checked down today sure. The defense leaves a lot to be desired...

We gave up 300 yards on the ground. There’s a case to be made that this was on par with unc 2020. Unc was able to throw also. Tech literally couldn’t not wanted to throw

All true, but Guidry sux balls too.

The defense is Basura in every ACC game, and that can’t be disputed, especially when GT takes your manhood with 300 yards rushing right at you.

However , the offense also deserves blame for this loss. Look around at the final scores in ACC games this season. You can’t expect to win an ACC conference game by scoring just 23 points, and the Canes are no exception. It’s pathetic. The offense wasn’t good enough to win today, and that is straight FACTS ❗

And if they only score 23 points against Wake, Syracuse or the ACC championship game, they will lose

Dude if you don't think giving up a 75 yard 10 minute drive is not critical to the outcome of the game then I know you don't really understand football. Also who play safeties 25 yards deep on a 3rd and 17 or runs DE stunts to the inside when they are continually hitting the edges. So many more defensive blunders. It was a total team loss with Guidry leading the way. For your information the defense is supposed to get stops.

Watched some tape this morning. Coaches own some of it, but our safeties are so bad. Even ZP, looks the part but lacks some combination of recognition and instinct. You want to be baffled, watch 3rd and 18. I don’t believe what I saw, these guys were 25 yards deep and stayed 25 yards deep, giving GT a pitch and catch over the middle of the field. Real head scratcher. It’s as if we were ahead and it was the last play of the game.

WHAT? UM gave up 271 rushing yards to Ga Tech. averaging 5.6 yards per attempt, with the hobbled QB accounting for 93 yards; failed to spy
the QB; and failed to set the perimeter permitting WR's / RB's to get YAC to keep the chains moving. The DEFENSE was horrible.

Miami gave the game away in THREE manners:
-Defense gave it away by not stopping the run ... period.
-Ward gave it away by NOT getting rid of the ball, taking what the D was giving him, and using his check down options.
-Mario gave it away by leaving 7 points on the field (2 FG's not taken and the extra point not taken).

GIFT WRAPPED three times. Stupidity.
