He was not one of the reasons we lost? hmmm okay he played spectacular and was certainly the star of the game. Not for Miami but for GT. Cmon try accumulating some common sense as it may help your critical thinking.

That's fair and worth having that discussion.

That stuff that this team would be this without its best player stuff I think is stupid. Yeah no **** we would not be the same with out our staring QB that's the best QB in college football. Tell me how many teams would be the same without their starting QB?

Cam tries hero ball too much, and Dawson calls plays without a sense the flow of the game. Or something like that. One drive we seem to throw over and over, or run over and over. Little use of the RBs and TEs in the passing game. RPOs inside ad nauseum. WR screens that rarely work but keep getting called.

I feel silly being critical of what is statistically the best offense in CFB but how good could it be with more variety?

Defensively they're missing run stuffing space eaters at DT, have poor tackling LBs, and a confused secondary. Guidry thinks he has to scheme them into making plays but this doesn't cover up bad fundamentals.

We need the big boy DT so bad. Mesidor is small to play inside. The other DT that play are jags. Hopefully Scott is a good one.

Its not just the points the defense gave up that killed us. Its the long, sustained drives that kept the ball away from the offense. There is ZERO excuse for letting a team do almost nothing but run, yet still get 1st down after 1st down to keep drives going... especially when everyone KNOWS they are going to just run.

The defense let up a 10 minute drive at one point taking a qtr away !!

Bro you do know there are 4 quarters in a game right? Did you see any adjustments to the Jet Sweeps? Why hasn’t Lance sat #1 down and put in a younger player. He’s getting exposed every week. This was 70% Lance’s fault.

Stop it. Quit pretending like it’s possible to win games decisively against teams with more talent just with good coaching.
 
This team has a lot of issues and a bye week is needed. I am skeptical we can get it worked out. We won 9 games against a weak schedule. This team is a borderline top 12 team, but they certainly did not look like it today. College football is a tough game.
 
i get that we are frustrated about mario not kicking those two FG's but I am more concerned about the defense in general. We are not a playoff caliber defense at all and a once mediocre offense on top of that cost us the game.

We take horrible angles when tackling, Kiko is getting worse as the season goes on (hard for me to understand as of why we dont sub in another LB on 3rd and long) and our Cb's are not getting off any blocks and getting washed out of plays waaay to often.

Let's face it we have a subpar defense with more talent than 3/4 of the rest of the ACC. A big part of it is Guidry as he seems to be too stubborn to change his approach but part of it is on the players as well. I don't doubt that Mario will adress the issue in the portal and through HS recruiting but I don't see us making a run in the playoffs.

If this is our one loss I’ll take it. Even with all that happened we still had a chance to win at the end

Our weakness just came back to bite us, and this time the offense couldn’t save us. Don’t think it was because of lack of effort or them overlooking GT, which would have been a lot more concerning

But I’m also not naive enough to think the defense is magically gonna get fixed in two weeks lol. It is what it is as this point. Mario’s gonna have decisions to make in the offseason, it’s not just a talent issue.
