Mario, Dawson, and Cam cost us the game

The TOs don't bother me. Nor the 2pt try or going for it on 4th-short.

Cam tries hero ball too much, and Dawson calls plays without a sense the flow of the game. Or something like that. One drive we seem to throw over and over, or run over and over. Little use of the RBs and TEs in the passing game. RPOs inside ad nauseum. WR screens that rarely work but keep getting called.

I feel silly being critical of what is statistically the best offense in CFB but how good could it be with more variety?

Maybe it's just me...

Defensively they're missing run stuffing space eaters at DT, have poor tackling LBs, and a confused secondary. Guidry thinks he has to scheme them into making plays but this doesn't cover up bad fundamentals.

Who the **** is excusing Mario… I’m saying Guidry ain’t it period. That’s been the one consistent negative the entire season

I never said Mario didn't go full Mario. You're the one who said bro, can't blame the defense at all, bro. When yes, the defense definitely shoulders a good chunk of the blame, along with Mario and Cam, et al. It's not hard.

This is as good as it gets. I've felt that way once we started playing close games.

Fine by me, the NIL era has made me almost apathetic. I'm not even mad annoyed, or whatever. We lost, okay, moving on.

With all the close calls, it was just a matter of time, we all knew it whether we admitted it or not. While feeling this way it's still been an interesting season. I'm just not feeling it like I used to and infrequently check in on a team I used to live and breath.

No, I said they got the necessary stops. Not “you can’t blame the defense at all”.

"Don’t tell me about Guidry. They got the stops they needed to win the game and at the end of the day that’s all that matters."

That's not all that matters and they didn't get the stops they needed. Unless college went to Rock n Jock rules where points are different depending on the time of game, and if so, that's my bad. By your "logic" the defense could pitch a shutout all game, give up a FG at the gun to lose 3-0 and they would be "at fault" for not getting a stop "when it mattered" which is asinine.

Other than the screens I don't think Dawson called a bad game. Cam had his worst game with his decision making despite what the stats say. Biggest indicator of that was 3-10 on 3rd down and 1-4 on 4th down. For a team that averages 60% on 3rd down just a bad overall game that we talented our way into a close game.

I honestly can’t wait til Dawson takes an unearned HC job so we can hire Brennan Marion or somebody like that. I honestly think part of Guidry’s struggles is because he feels he needed to be conservative/bend-don’t break because he’s so hot and cold.

Exactly..we played smart football even against cal we didn't chase points like this game...Cam checked down in the 2nd half and had decent play calling...this game we go crazy because once again the D can't stop a nose bleed

Again, Mario CHOSE not to kick 2 FGs that would given us the lead. Despite how flawed they played, they got the stops needed. That’s facts rather you like it or not.

And again, I didn't say Mario didn't have a bad game, he should have kicked, even if the FGs aren't gimmes like you seem to assume. And again, the defense didn't get the stops needed, because they needed to stop GT during the first 50 minutes too and had no answer for a QB who only attempted 6 passes. You can't show up for 2 drives and say job well done. Football games are 60 minutes long. Your opinions aren't facts no matter how hard you scream "miss me bro"
