Wrong. Earlier in the season we take those points, we punt on 4ths. They tried to score 7 on every drive as if the season was on the line in the first qtr

I'll never understand why you don't take the points.

I rarely come away from a game thinking "they really should have gone for it on that 4th and 3 from the 34 in the 2nd Quarter!"...those scenarios only seemingly hurt you, especially in phonebooth games on the road. You take the points. Put them back on their end of the field with no momentum.

You just take those points on the road, especially in a bodyblow game. Mario knew what was up.

Against Louisville or something, sure I understand the need to be aggressive with getting TDs

But some garbage *** offense with totally one dimensional play calling? I think you gotta just take points when you can until the offense got going better

No. The first point was about the offense specifically. But we all expected the defense to be ***. You do yourself no favors try to be cute offensively.

Missed too many guys really all game but especially first half.
That gt defense was buns.
Is what it is...he's a gambler with a big personality and the house eventually always wins.

Guidry alignment hasnt changed even though its been clear as day it’s a weakness for us. These little gimmicks might work against G5 competition, but not at P4 levels.

Beyond that, the defense acts like they don’t practice together at all. We don’t play man very well. We don’t know how to play a good zone. And Guidry is too stubborn playing his guys all year until he doesn’t have a choice. We all saw that play where Quan played too far back in zone on the long pass play to convert a 1st down. Play him more consisitently earlier in the year and he might not have made that mistake.

It should be a fireable offense losing to this offense today. Guidry can’t set and edge if his life depends on it.

Mario costs us 7 points, Cam was beyond pathetic, both Dawson & Guidry need to be replaced. Again, Mario got out coached and I would not be surprised we do not get into the ACC Championship game. If so LASH is going to hang at least 45 on us.
 
I'm not as down on Cam for this game as others.
He wasn't great, but I don't think he was horrible by any measure either.

This was just bad coaching in all phases and it started before the game was even played.

Key and Mario do not fw each other. Key pretty much took Mario's job at Bama. Combined that w what happened last year and Mario should've had this game circled.
