Marco Wilson Announcement

We do this every year.

Some decide we "must" have a kid, he goes elsewhere, and the whining and moaning goes on ad nauseum.

Bunch of candyazzes.

That's not even the point genius.

Aw, Jeez, another simpleton.

1. Golden screwed the pooch with big brother.
2. Big brother went to UF.
3. Momma wants little brother to be with big brother.
4. Done deal.
5. Candyazzes here want to blame Rumph, or Dad, or climate change - and of course they can.

Because they're candyazzes.

Lol. For all you guys saying that everyone knew Wilson was a UF lock, well our dumbass coach didn't know he was UF lock.

Second, for those of you saying our CB's committed are better and he is all 7 on 7 hype, again our dumbass coach doesn't think so. Coach *** told Marco he was the number one target on the Canes CB board earlier this year. So coach *** missed on his number one target.

I can't believe the multiple of CRY BABIES verbally torturing one of our coaches and former player. Give it a break guys and focus on more important things in life. This is a teenage kid choosing a college to play football. This is still America and he gets to choose where he wants to play. So big deal, his Dad played here but that means little today. Remember this, these kids today do not view the UM football program like many of us do. For the majority of the past 10 seasons its been very disappointing to say the least. It's up to CMR to wins games and bring UM back on the top of the college football landscape. If and when that happens we will get our share of great recruits who wants to play for a winning program and great coach. I hope all of you are doing your due diligence on the upcoming election. The time spent here for some of you on recruting is very scary. After all, football is NOT going to change your lives but the upcoming election certainly will to say the least! GO CANES

And there's the guy posting on a recruiting board castigating guys for caring about recruiting. It's come full circle now.

Who said rumph didn't know?

this. w how bad quincy hated us, did you guys really think we had a shot. pete even said coaches weren't expecting him

Man WTF part don't you get?!?.....people ain't trippin cause he didn't get the commitment, people calling that dumb **** a bum cause he promoted a gaytor commitment

But he wasn't promoting a gaytor committment. He was promoting a friend's radio show.

Rumph doesn't give a **** were these kids go. He wasn't *****ing when Byrd de-commited. He wish him the best, and understood that Tennessee was the best place for him if he didn't want to be here.

Rumph must believing in his ability to coach whomever is on his squad.
He's getting paid $250k per year to care and to deliver.

You guys are ridiculous with some of the **** you spew. He doesn't care? He's just promoting a friend's show? LOL. Do you understand the concept of him working for UM and being paid handsomely to deliver results?

Chise, I don't think Rumph gives a **** about the kids that don't want to be here. He is going to be judged on his recruiting, and coaching of the position. I agree with every one who didn't think he was a good hire. I expect, just like with Diaz, that he has a two year window to get it done.

I never saw Wilson coming here. It's rare to recruit 7 db's, and all of them stick. Someone was leaving the class if Wilson was coming, and since I haven't watch his highlight tape, I will leave to others to have an opinion on Wilson.

I am surprise that you are on Wilson like that. You were one of the first guys who said **** Jeudy for not wanting to be here.

Jeudy is different b/c Jeudy has no ties to the program. Rumph was brought here b/c of his connect, let's be honest. Richt brought him on board to help w So Fla recruiting. Wilson dad played here, his dad worked under Rumph, Rumph played here, Rumph was Wilson's coach...get why we're on Rumph's head? Wilson could be a 2 star recruit for all I care; he's a Cane legacy who's being recruited by a Cane legacy and somehow he winds up going to the enemy?? That's the point.

I don't get why these guys can't grasp this seemingly simple concept. I don't give a fck about the Wilson family. They can all rot now. And maybe we'll end up signing a replacement who is better than Marco. Marco isn't a can't miss guy. But Richt wanted him. And just like every other guy who played or coached under Rumph, he rejected Rumph.

You guys can choose to whistle your way through the graveyard, but Rumph's failures so far have been extraordinary and unprecedented for a HS coach hire, especially during a regime change where there is a ton of hope and excitement surrounding the program.

If he knew then he's a bigger moron for promoting a UF commit party.

I'm not ready to get rid of rumph before he's coached one full season, but, there is definitely something when he's having the trouble he's having with some of these kids. I know he might not be the main recruiter on some and the Wilson kid was never coming to UM, but some of the other kids, especially from AH are head scratchers. And I'm not sure how bad we wanted any of the others.

I know what the point is. Wilson should have been a cane lock. I just don't understand the outcry that Rumph knew Wilson was going to be a Gator before retweeting the announcement.

And let's be honest, outside of DJ, all of the db's are south florida recruits. I guess I don't see 6 south florida db's sticking if Wilson came here. I think the biggest issue for some is he committed to the gators.

Man U sound stupid as fu@k...how the **** does Pete know Wilson ain't comin but Bumph don't know?!?

And for the gazillionth time nobody gives a fuc that Wilson ain't comin here, at least I don't. That **** pumped up a gaytor commit, and if you would do the same as him then u a ***** too.

You sound like a little ***** right now. Crying like a little ****** about a coach promoting a friend's radio show. You that insecure about the direction of the program?

You had Coach Macho stating that he had sources that Wilson was coming. Pete is great, but I don't doubt that EVERYONE knew he wasn't coming. But believe what you want to believe pimpin, and continue to cry like a little ***** over it too.

This I agree with. If he already knew, then he is Aldon Smith level dumb as ****.

A few days ago most people on this thread was saying Wilson was basically a lock to be a Gator. Now that it actually happened all of a sudden it's f*ck Rumph. Yo I know everyone wants to land every recruit but dam y'all be acting real hurt over this sh*t. This site will probably crash after we lose one game smh.

At least let the man show whether he can or can't coach before you fire him. If our db's show significant improvement from Rumph's coaching then I would take that any day over him getting a recruit who never planned on coming here anyway.

Man WTF part don't you get?!?.....people ain't trippin cause he didn't get the commitment, people calling that dumb **** a bum cause he promoted a gaytor commitment

Has to be the ****tiest attempt to defend failure I have ever seen. He is no longer a high school coach. Because it was a gator commit, he should not have been promoting his friends show. Because this is a big money business and he is getting paid handsomely, he MUST care. The moment Byrd flipped, he became the enemy, and you don't wish the enemy their best. Being classy in the face of defeat on the recruiting trail does not make it any less of a defeat.

And lastly, Rumph has no business believing in his ability to coach whomever, he has only enjoyed success at a private high school, where he has out recruited everyone but STA, and won on talent.

He was brought in for one reason, and one reason only. Recruiting. He did a phenomenal job recruiting local teenagers to his high school, and created an instant connection to a roster loaded with D1 talent.

Dumph may very well turn out to be fine for us. And you'll can be as patient as you like, but the reality of the situation is that he was a reach by Richt, that has not only failed to pay off, is actually an embarrassment. Can't wait to see the excuses, the well wishing, the slack when both Campbell and Surtain sign some where else next year.

For all you Dumph sympathizers, ask your self this: If he was not a former cane, would he be getting the benefit of the doubt to the extent you are all so quick to give? No, he wouldn't. He is a professional, he has a job, and he has failed. It is no longer February, he is now in his 8th month.

I agree not getting him looks bad. Especially with all the ties he has to that program, but I keep coming back to the amount of db's we have commit, or we expect to have commited before signing day. We expect to have 6 db's in this class, and we expect to have another 4 in next year's class. IMO, someone isn't sticking because that is just to many db's to take in back to back recruiting cycles.

That's why I always thought this guy had no chance of coming here, despite the relationship with Rumph.

What the ****? You don't believe that Guz Malzahn believed in his ability to coach offense when he left Springdale High School? The reason he left Arkansas because Nutt wouldn't let him run his stuff.

And you don't have to act like a ***** because someone de-commits from you. Dalvin Cook was once committed to Clemson, but Clemson found a way to beat his ***. If Wilson doesn't want to play for us, we should be beating his *** in 2019.

And of course Rumph was hired to RECRUIT and COACH db's, and if we aren't winning important games like FSU and Notre Dame, his *** will be replaced. I just don't understand crying about a guy that to me was scared of competition.

To clear the air on this. They told James Houston and De'Andre Wilder they were number one on the board too. It's pep talk.
