Marco Wilson Announcement

A few days ago most people on this thread was saying Wilson was basically a lock to be a Gator. Now that it actually happened all of a sudden it's f*ck Rumph. Yo I know everyone wants to land every recruit but dam y'all be acting real hurt over this sh*t. This site will probably crash after we lose one game smh.

At least let the man show whether he can or can't coach before you fire him. If our db's show significant improvement from Rumph's coaching then I would take that any day over him getting a recruit who never planned on coming here anyway.

Man WTF part don't you get?!?.....people ain't trippin cause he didn't get the commitment, people calling that dumb **** a bum cause he promoted a gaytor commitment

But he wasn't promoting a gaytor committment. He was promoting a friend's radio show.

Rumph doesn't give a **** were these kids go. He wasn't *****ing when Byrd de-commited. He wish him the best, and understood that Tennessee was the best place for him if he didn't want to be here.

Rumph must believing in his ability to coach whomever is on his squad.
He's getting paid $250k per year to care and to deliver.

You guys are ridiculous with some of the **** you spew. He doesn't care? He's just promoting a friend's show? LOL. Do you understand the concept of him working for UM and being paid handsomely to deliver results?

Deliver results? The season hasn't started yet and signing day for this class is 6 months away. Understand this, we need to win first if we want certain South Florida kids to come. The Wilson boys are Gators now. Get over it.

I don't know if he would have gotten any or not. As far being "not that good of a coach"
That's your subjective opinion. What is a fact is that Hurlie was more experienced at the college level.
It's my subjective opinion that Hurlie would not have promoted a rivals comitment

I will say this. I think if rumph was at fsu or uf he would get those heritage dudes. For whatever reason they dont seem to like miami.

If that's the case...it's a wierd situation. I guess he never pushed for UM over spoke up for UM when he was the coach there...that or he was the least influential high school coach in history.

I heard the players and coaches at heritage love rumph. Its also been said that golden didnt really recruit heritage. Maybe thats the root of the problem. Maybe these dudes have never felt wanted by miami. I dont know what it is.

They love him so much they can't stand to be around him. They run from him like the plague.

They aint running from him. He recruited most of them to heritage. Like i said for whatever reason they dont seem to want to go to miami.

Chise, I don't think Rumph gives a **** about the kids that don't want to be here. He is going to be judged on his recruiting, and coaching of the position. I agree with every one who didn't think he was a good hire. I expect, just like with Diaz, that he has a two year window to get it done.

I never saw Wilson coming here. It's rare to recruit 7 db's, and all of them stick. Someone was leaving the class if Wilson was coming, and since I haven't watch his highlight tape, I will leave to others to have an opinion on Wilson.

I am surprise that you are on Wilson like that. You were one of the first guys who said **** Jeudy for not wanting to be here.

34 pages on a kid who hasn't started high school yet. I think people are more bothered by the lack of cane loyalty than the fact Quincy is there, and uf has had better defenses than us over the past four years.

We have to prove it on the field now. Plus, I'd take Edwards as a cb any day over who uf has committed as well as bandy when he commits (possibly Henderson too. So three guys over Marco, Elijah and potentially Shawn Davis).

Chill out.

Jeudy is different b/c Jeudy has no ties to the program. Rumph was brought here b/c of his connect, let's be honest. Richt brought him on board to help w So Fla recruiting. Wilson dad played here, his dad worked under Rumph, Rumph played here, Rumph was Wilson's coach...get why we're on Rumph's head? Wilson could be a 2 star recruit for all I care; he's a Cane legacy who's being recruited by a Cane legacy and somehow he winds up going to the enemy?? That's the point.

I know what the point is. Wilson should have been a cane lock. I just don't understand the outcry that Rumph knew Wilson was going to be a Gator before retweeting the announcement.

And let's be honest, outside of DJ, all of the db's are south florida recruits. I guess I don't see 6 south florida db's sticking if Wilson came here. I think the biggest issue for some is he committed to the gators.

I don't really care about Marco Wilson for reasons others stated earlier. We do need cornerbacks and safeties, though. We need one more 4/5 star, impact guy who can help us next season.

I don't care if they have to leave Florida for it either. Marco had his chance to commit, but now we gotta fill the spot with an equal or better player IMO.

Man U sound stupid as fu@k...how the **** does Pete know Wilson ain't comin but Bumph don't know?!?

And for the gazillionth time nobody gives a fuc that Wilson ain't comin here, at least I don't. That **** pumped up a gaytor commit, and if you would do the same as him then u a ***** too.

For once I agree with this guy. Our db commits are way way better than this Wilson guy

Just let the season play out. If we ball and UF tanks than Marco could possibly flip. Rumph will get better with recruiting if he shows he can coach up our CBs. Besides not everyone will want to come play here. Well get some SOFL talent and lose some, just the way it is. Cant get em all. Plus cant blame a kid for wanting to play with his brother.

This^ There are plenty of OOS CBs we could look into recruiting.

I dont care if we lost this legacy. Only legacy thats unacceptable to lose is if Blades Jr. plays anywhere but for the Canes
