You were on to something before it broke. This is about the U now not who coached who in junior varsity. Either Rumph was duped or there is a common sense issue going on in that he would pump up the announcement without knowing the result, neither of which bodes well for the home team. It's somewhat alarming, actually.

It isnt high school anyumore..he cant just have his guys poach whoever to come to a private school. These other schools recruit to. He wasnt that good of a hs coach to begin with..but im guessing a good repoire with Richt and his degree got him the cb coach job. He is wet behjinf the ear..and really should be a ga here. Its obvious by his lack of common sense since last signing period, as well as retweets for marco wilson etc. Dude acting like he still at Heritage.

So much scorn for Chad Wilson after Marco's announcement, but Rumph is the one who should be skewered here. Inexcusable to draw attention to an announcement for yet another prized recruit from Heritage telling us to f*** our own faces.

A Power 5 program with championship tradition hires someone from the HS ranks, but continues to fail to land top talent they used to coach. Unacceptable.

Why cause he didnt land Marco??? We were behind from the word GO...Golden screwed us badly... we got Henderson, landed Brian Edwards, more than likely will land Bandy and possibly Shawn Davis and Amari Carter... **** god class if you ask me..plus 2018 we already got Jobe, and he landed Frierson and DJ Ivey...let Rumph cook alil bit

I think part of the reason for hiring Rumph....no, scratch that....THE ONLY REASON why we hired Rumph was b/c of his "connections." Rumph has produced 0, and I mean ZERO connects from AH. Then why the F are u even here?

If Rumph retweeted that **** without knowing for sure that Marco was coming here, then he's a complete and utter moron who is badly overmatched by this job. You absolutely can't retweet something like that without knowing what's coming, or you look like a total buffoon. It would be a bigger indictment on him than his inability to get any of his former players here.

Rump is a failure. Hated on UM as a High School coach and has low energy as a college coach and recruiter. He is the one hire by Richt i never liked. He needs to go.

Shawn davis is commiting to uf this month too.
 
If Richt is as smart as we all hope he is he has to be wondering what is going on with Rumph and all his ex players/targets.I have to believe little by little the truth will start leaking out soon enough.
 
Threads only get this many pages when we miss out on someone so without knowing what happened I think I can guess

i think this puts the nail in the coffin for Chad Wilson. No fockin way he's allowed on Our Campus. Ever. I don't want to hear Petes bull****. Oh, he's a great guy. Maybe he is, but he is of no value to our program now. So fck him

Not going to lose any sleep over the kid not coming here. Just hope he can play offense cause they are going to be mediocre at best for the next couple of years.

Exactly, Rumph is about due for a nickname already lol but in all respect I think his positives will come with coaching, Marco was lost the day his brother signed with UF, I remember getting negged for telling the truth how the staff was horrible for taking Mayes over Quincy at the time. The positive thing with recruiting is we can go off and get a better corner or someone with similar potential. The coaches just have to be think think type coaches, I have been screaming to go after Ameer Speed for awhile., he's bigger, a lot faster although less fluid than Edwards, he has potential to be the Carlos Becker in this class in terms of rising up the rankings.

Yes. A good recruiter isn't somebody that lands players BEGGING for an offer like Bandy. Good recruiters land recruits they shouldn't, if we want to say a Cane legacy who you coached in high school isn't a recruit you shouldn't land.
