Who I am sweating is Chad and Rumph. We should've went all out for T Rob instead of Rumph.
 
I guess we'll get the obligatory "Miami will keep recruiting Marco until the end", but honestly, I'd rather be done w this dude and his family. And yes, I am being petty and hating and saying this only bc he didn't choose us.

How you a Cane, who played on a squad w Ray Lewis, Warren Sapp, and won a National Championship, and both your jits going to UF?

If Rumph retweeted that **** without knowing for sure that Marco was coming here, then he's a complete and utter moron who is badly overmatched by this job. You absolutely can't retweet something like that without knowing what's coming, or you look like a total buffoon. It would be a bigger indictment on him than his inability to get any of his former players here.

You were on to something before it broke. This is about the U now not who coached who in junior varsity. Either Rumph was duped or there is a common sense issue going on in that he would pump up the announcement without knowing the result, neither of which bodes well for the home team. It's somewhat alarming, actually.

I'll give Rumph a pass on this one. Chad is a tool. That whole university school gang are a bunch of chumps. Only one who kept his loyalty to the local school was Bruce. I truly hope he does exceptional while all the rest have failed careers like they have failed character.
 
Wasn't this kid quoted the other day as saying he wants to created his own path? So he turns around and commits to the school his big brother is at? Kid is obviously highly intelligent. That makes a lot of sense.

And **** Chad.
 
No other big time school would miss a kid who
A. Is the son of a former player AND
B. Has the kid's High School Coach on staff


That **** just does not happen

Thus far I've refrained from criticizing Rumph (really no body of work to complain about). But I think it's time. He looks like an absolute fool/lightweight/******* with all his tweets about the announcement.

I'm not a Rumph hater (I actually thinks he was a good hire and will get his recruits eventually), but he gets no pass on this. Even if Chad is a tool, he's a tool who RUMPH HIRED , so that would say something about his judgement, as does him promoting that god awful primitive radio show that sounded like it was being produce by Marconi without having the recruit in the bag.

For the record: A University of Miami Coach promoted a show in which a local recruit who he coached chose a rival school.

Good thing only 50 people were listening (shamefully I was one) so it's not that embarrassing.

Only reason he was somewhat relevant was bc he had 2 sons who were good CBs. He shouldn't be allowed anywhere near the program, helped both kids punk the U.
