If Manny can get the whole team turned around like he's done the defense we will be ok.coker,Shannon and golden in the beginning of their stint did get a few 5&4* players who couldn't play like one.Diaz has turned a statistically last place defense into a championship caliber one.question isn't can be get highly rated recruits question is can be get players to perform like one on Saturdays.I do believe Diaz has answered that question for you.his defense's are the main reason we've won 10 games in 2017 & 7 last year.

Agreed................Manny needs two things to really put his print on the U.
1. Win the big games and they will come.......ND, and VT are good examples.....Make Game Day look forward to coming to Coral Gables.
2. Win the games the we should win, and not pull a BC, or Pitt after our downside is apparent......never let down, make our product of U football speak loudly on the field, always make it all hang out.

Guaranteed that these 2 will be ACCC games every year, and Clemson can be beaten...........ahhhh Syracuse anyone?.....
You just never know...... The door is there.....we just need to kick it in....

I wonder if certain staffs have time to play with a recruits little brother because they don't have to recruit other kids as hard because they've already accepted a bag? Or they know 6 of the guys on their board are locked down with bags so they don't need to bother with them. I mean if I've got all my work done already, I'm always down for a game of catch.

I spoke to the father of a high ranked recruit a few days ago and didn't like what I heard regarding our recruiting.

For a lack of better words it seems like amateur hour compared to the way other big programs recruit. There's a lack of detail with out recruiting.
I can't go into too much detail without exposing who the kid is, but everything he said made perfect sense. Look at our staff. Who the **** has ever recruited on a high level, at a big program?

Other schools have shown much more detail when recruiting this particular prospect, particularly Auburn, Georgia, Bama and Clemson. They had this kid's film completely broken down with notes (on paper). And they went over these notes with the recruit in person, telling them exactly what they like/dislike about their ability and where he fits into their scheme.

I'm told Miami isn't doing the little things to make kids feel wanted. And I ain't talking about bags. I won't even go there, cause I won't repeat what I was told regarding that. It's other things, man. Hospitality type ****. Even the way they facetime the kids and little stuff like that. The whole coaching staff playing catch with the prospects brothers and family members. Little things.

I was also told that their communication tailors off sometimes once they have a kid committed. (might explain some of the decommits)

This kid never felt wanted from Miami like he did from the other big time programs. And this particular kid loves The U.
That's a problem, no matter what way you slice it. Making them feel wanted/loved/etc is part of the process. That's your main **** job as a recruiter. LOL

Now I know some of you are gonna argue this, mostly cause you don't wanna hear it. But that's the point-of-view from someone who's involved in the process. It's a non-bias opinion from someone who has interacted with dozens of football staffs.

But does their coach drink Cuban Coffee and make "savage" tweets?

I realize that you're paraphrasing what someone else is saying but with that said.........................this is complete nonsense. This is a business and the same way these kids need to make choices that are truly best for their respective future............Miami needs to do the same and make sure that their bases are covered and the interest of the program is met. At some point the feelings need to be removed and the transition from being a boy to being a man needs to be crossed. Yes, these coaches need to market and sell the program to the fullest extent and work hard at bringing in talent that meets the standards expected from Miami but while that's happening they also need to get back to proving why they should be and eventually are the best option (something Miami hasn't done in a while). You do that by developing talent properly and winning on the football field, not placating to the feelings of kids an their families.....................that's how you get played.

And to say these are non-biased opinions is bull****.............................this is the hometown school, it's the city of Miami's team so the feelings will always be stronger and the bias will be unavoidable. You said it yourself, these kids and their families stated they don't FEEL like they're loved and wanted by Miami................even when the ultimate outcome is business based, not emotionally based. These families need to stop intertwining the two to fit their narrative.

Man what are you talking about?
I just gave you a slight rundown of our recruiting tactics versus other big time programs. If a kid/father says that another program did a better job of covering details and/or showing love THAT'S A LEGIT ISSUE. What does that have to do with covering bases?

I'm literally telling you that other programs are doing a better job of recruiting our local kids.

How effin bad are we really doing with recruiting when we are sitting here with 20 commits and ranked in the top 10? Think about it for a second. I'd say we are going in the right direction and only getting better. Especially after a coaching change coming off a embarrassing season. For gosh sakes take a step back and gather a bit of perspective. There is no pleasing everyone, some kids and parents just want a bigger bag or more lips clamped to their ****.

Meaningless when we get leapfrogged in February. Don't act like we haven't seen this with Coker, Shannon, Golden and Richt.

The key to this is kid (singular) and his dad (singular).

We are one fire from a recruiting and momentum standpoint.

Making any statement as fact about something costing us recruits is ridiculous based on basically the words of one potentially disgruntled or unhappy kid and his dad.

February will be for a handful of kids at most. 90% of them will already be signed, sealed and delivered in December.

Everytime we hear these warnings of a staff from someone inside we are flying planes 3 years from this date. Im paying attention to what @Coach Macho is saying he never be bullshyttin, we may not like what hes saying but dude aint lyin thats not his style.
Diaz may be another failure of a HC. I don't know, I'll be in wait and see mode. That being said, macho is always full of it. Remember when Dorito was out there giving us a "Miami defense" because we looked aggressive against FCS teams? Macho is out here talking to Harris' dad who we all know is chasing bags. We already heard other recruits talk about how the staff is watching film with them, talking to them daily, showing the family love, etc. You're better than this.

every other recruit has said publicly how this staff treats them. macho either needs to put a name on the source or it'll be BS considering the interview chantz williams just gave.

the same richt that signed nearly his entire class when we actually won?
