MacFarland to Maryland!

If they don't let Brown visit then you know it's a wrap. All of a sudden, pops seems very pro-Maryland after the late Under Armour visit.

gotta respect the approach, while we may not land mcfarland, we'll win out in the long run #faithfirst

Why do I have to respect that approach?

because you want kids that are suppose to be here . . . follow your faith and if it's meant to lead you to UM than great, if not, don't come . . . if your not grounded in faith you won't understand

Has Ferman posted the annual "Fog of War" manifesto yet? Have our visions turned bleak as of yet? Not rustled until then...

What could they have possibly told him that he didn't already know? It's like someone getting wet feet before getting married they still end up getting married 99 percent of the time. Even if he doesn't come won't hate on the kid for staying home. Anyone who does on this board is a complete hypocrite. That being said if he silently committed told us to shut everything down with rbs and pulls a move like this 5 days before signing day that shows real character issues not just with him but his father imo. Mama might want to make sure dad doesn't have a side piece that is slightly closer to his work but looks like a troll. Hopefully y'all catch the analogy there.

I could care less whether someone's motivation is faith, women, or Lake Osceola. Just get to campus and win.

I think Miami & Brown lock him up. If he already had a video to go to announce for Miami, I think he'll stick with it.

BUT - I do think if we lose him, it won't be a huge loss. I'm not as high on him as most for a variety of reasons. I think he can be a home run hitter, sort of a fast version of Mark Walton, but I definitely don't see him in the same league as someone like Duke Johnson.

All he has to do is think about the forgetful injury prone cfb career Stefon Diggs had when he decided to commit to Maryland.... Its Maryland they suck, his family is smart, i think they just delayed it bc they dojt want Marylands coaching staff to feel as if they waisted their time doing all that begging.

/ Cane Lock

Forget Diggs, how did choosing Maryland workout for Wes Brown???

Ah man, this dude is probably going to stay home. He was going to choose Miami today, but seems like someone got in his ear, and the prospects of playing home seems to be more enticing , and they're probably selling him on being a Freshman starter, compared to him being behind Walton for one year.

I'm hoping he still chooses Miami, but that announcement didn't bode well for us

This strikes me as more than giving the hometown team and coaches some respect and listening to what they have to say. Not being pessimistic, just realistic. He had no real love for Miami. This wasn't his favorite team growing up etc ... He is basically following Richt and Brown down here. That isn't a "lock" vs the home team, family, etc...
Hope we get him, we'll be OK if we don't, but IMO he is flipping.

great, last staff had #moralvictories and this staff has #faithfirst

can we go back to national championships and goons on the field again?

Kid just needs to look at Diggs' career. All-world, 5 star receiver commits to hometown school Maryland, he does ok for three years, gets taken in the 5th round and blows up again in the NFL. Everyone who followed high school recruiting knew the kid was a beast, his supporting cast just sucked at MD. Should have been a 2nd rounder. Choosing Maryland over us cost that kid millions.
