I don't want to allay anyone's concerns but this won't be the first time a heavy lean to somewhere pushes back his announcement shortly before NSD because of secondary pressure and then ultimately picks the school everyone knew he was going to in the first place.
should we use that logic with Henderson too?
Want but don't need McFarland. Smith, Thomas, Henderson, Edwards, Dean and maybe even Herbert are all more important.
Don't get me wrong, I'd like to get this guy but considering the injury it's very hard to envision him cracking first or second team and we all know how it is finding RB's down here. Yes, depth would get a little scary if we only have 4 scholarship RB's on the roster but I'm 90% certain we'd be able to take 1 more RB next year who is pretty similarly talented (and maybe open the door to a grad transfer like Tuitt for this year).
Bull****. Our depth chart is very shallow right now. RBs get injured. A stud RB is absolutely one of our biggest needs right now.
Parents should be more worried about his football future than having him stay close to home for a couple of years. Miami consistently puts RBs in the NFL. This Maryland coach is going to bounce the minute he has any success. Richt is here for the long term. The family should see the writing on the wall.
It just doesn't make too much sense. Brown supposedly has the best relationship with McFarland among college coaches and he's been a heavy Cane lean for a while now. Just hoping the visit just made him think a little longer and still believe Miami is the right choice...
LOL at some of yall. Such weak nancy boys. Recruiting ain't for the weak. Kid is all cane and Brown will make him feel better about anything today and he commit on Friday. I am not worried about losing this kid one iota.

Stop it. This would be a tremendous blow. I hate when posters do this, they dismiss or devalue a kid because he may not sign with us. It's a thing to do.
Maryland just used it's only Head Coach visit to put as many concerns into his head before he decides as an all out push to save their ***. Richt can still visit McFarland. They will have brown assuage his fears the next two days, and then Richt visit to wrap it up. Maryland went all out a mile before the finish line, Miami still has plenty in the tank
