Wow that’s massive
I’m about to be bought into the defense if we finish the way I think we will
Very true.Still have to coordinate it..
What if I don’t like any of the QBs in the playoff that are coming back or can come back next year? I can’t even see 2-3 leaving out of the starters
Rourke, Gabriel, Leonard - out of eligibility
Beck, Milroe, Madsen - No
Iamaleava, Manning, Jennings, Allar, Leavitt - Not going anywhere
Ewers - maybe? But he leaked he’s NFL bound
Klubnik - I would entertain it but shocked if he left
We’d have to be talking about next man up
Agreed. Slim pickings on QB. My hope is that Nickel can be in that Nico/Arch/Allar conversation in future years. Because you can’t count on portal QB every year. What if I don’t like any of the QBs in the playoff that are coming back or can come back next year? I can’t even see 2-3 leaving out of the starters

Pass on both.Milroe is easily over Emory, even Milroe with no legs is better
The **** we don’tVery true.
Don’t think we have anything to worry about there
Milroe is Jennings on SMU both ***Milroe is easily over Emory, even Milroe with no legs is better
It was Rich RodSo how many big-time DBs played for JaxState this past season? Seems like several. Kudos to their coaches.
It was Rich Rod
We also keyed on some "lowly" 3 stars/low 4 stars that lowered our recruiting ranking but I would take over a lot of the high 4 stars in their positions. There are very few QBs I would have chosen over Nickel, and the staff seems to feel the same way, yet he's a 3 star or low 4 star in the various rankings. Same with Malachi Toney. He looks like an early impact gamebreaker with a limitless ceiling, but he's a 3 star. I'm glad we got him over most of the 4 stars that would have increased our ranking. I don't see us as having taken a class off.I mean, I hear ya…but we absolutely weren’t trying to sign a small class, we signed a small class because we got absolutely pantsed for every recruit we wanted starting in September. You’ll notice the big boys never take a class off?
Toney’s a 4 star on the composite so not buying that one at all, but I get your point. We’ll see but historically when we do the “our class is underrated” shtic…and I’ve done it a lot over these 20 years…we look like morons. We also keyed on some "lowly" 3 stars/low 4 stars that lowered our recruiting ranking but I would take over a lot of the high 4 stars in their positions. Toney just squeaks into low 4 star range in the composite, and is 3 star on some other rankings, which is ridiculous. Between his skill and his work ethic and drive that those who know him say is a key trait, there are very few smaller, slot-type receivers in the entire class I'd take over him, no matter the rankingsToney’s a 4 star on the composite so not buying that one at all, but I get your point. Yeah all good, again I’m not disagreeing with you on any particular player.Toney just squeaks into low 4 star range in the composite, and is 3 star on some other rankings, which is ridiculous. Why stop there? Why not just recruit a new roster?Bring me 2 starting caliber corners, another starting caliber safety, 2 starting LB and another starting DE and I'll like where we stand. On defense.
I get that, but the reality is the difference between a top 10 and 13 ranked class is often very little. Avg rankings wise we were top 10. We could have taken a few more 3 stars just for the sake of having a larger class like those above us and getting to the top 10 overall rankings, but there's no point in doing so beyond caring about an artificial rankingYeah all good, again I’m not disagreeing with you on any particular player.
But I’ve said that NKosi Perry was the next Deshaun Watson and was massively underrated.
I said Yearby didn’t get enough credit and should be a 5 star.
I said Laron Byrd looked like Terrell Owens.
Point is, the rankings actually are a very good indicator when you aggregate them up, and the real big boy schools (except for maybe Michigan or Clemson, who are AWESOME at player development and kind of Culty if we’re being honest) don’t take years off of top 5-10 classes.
