Look to the Transfer Portal: Discussion thread

Agreed and if I’m prioritizing those needs it would look as follows:

1. DT#1
2. QB
3. Corner/ Nickel
4. Slot WR
5. DT #2
6. Safety
7. TE
8. RB

Something like that..just have a hard time seeing 8 more players transferring to Miami given how slow things are compared to other teams.
I never want to see Jaden Harris play another down for this team. For me its

1. QB1
2. DT1
3. Safety
4. Nickel Corner
5. Slot WR
6. LB
7. DT2
8. TE

9. KR/PR/RB5

I disagree, QB is by far #1 priority.

We open with Notre Dame, then we have Florida in week 2. We play Louisville and @SMU. We better be able to score.
Maybe.

Emory vs. Moten/Scott?

All 3 players are relatively unproven yet Emory at a minimum will be serviceable given our OL and stable of RBs. Moten/Scott/Horten need to step up and anchor our D.

I could go either way.

There will be a lot of very good players in the portal after the CFP. I'm sure we'll do better than currently expected. We have deep pockets.

In case anyone wonders if the bowl game is important, it can help erase some of the stench the Syracuse game left on us.

I think we have young depth at DT. We just don't know how ready they are to make impact. Moten, Blay, Scott should be a good top 3. We can take a 2nd DT, RB, and LB who solid depth. I'm just glad MC finally realizes the urgency of the secondary cuz he's attacking it big time right now.
Yeah we’ve recruited a lot of dudes at the DLine. If none of these DTs are ready to make an impact I’d seriously be questioning our coaching and development.

Everyone is in agreement with Harris never playing another down again. I have Safety further down because of Poyser and am hopeful that Patterson will emerge. A second safety is still needed for depth and in the event Patterson isn’t ready. But, I lowered the priority given other needs.

Ultimately, we still need a lot.

Assuming those 3 DBs do sign, we’re getting close though. I generally agree with @gacaneaddict ’s list. But I think the QB, DT and S2 are far and away the most important, and that we’re underestimating the TE gap situation.

After that I think we’re moving into rounding out the roster but the nucleus is there for a run. I also don’t think we need a slot as badly as some on here do. We have guys that can play that role.

I am glad too that he is realizes the urgency of the secondary. He is still learning on the job, so he is doing for a 1st year coach after the mess Manny left.

They are bringing Blay in as a 3 flex. IMO we still need a true 325+ pound nose, unless Horton has taken a huge jump that we don’t know about.
Don't see many in portal even fitting that description at all. In house Artavius has to be at least 310 based on the eye test but we'll see who else hops in at some point.
