D@mn I didn't realize it was that bad
Yep a friend on staff told me the next day. He’s got 3 opinions now and the surgeon that does most of the Braves TJ surgeries told him he’ll likely never be the same throwing the football again. Much harder recovery than baseball apparently.

So he’s trying to see and hoping to recover without surgery. Not a realistic option though.

Wow I know that no 2 surgeries are the same but Brock Purdy came back from TJ in like 6 months I believe

Ya he got all 3 opinions that said it needed surgical repair. 2 said he’d be fine on a normal schedule but the most prominent one said he should try to consider rehab without surgery because of the risk. Seemed strange to me too.

Tommy John Will probably make his arm stronger. It’s a rarity that dudes don’t throw harder after having it nowadays.
In baseball absolutely. Apparently throwing a football is a different tension on the ligament. He was trying to explain what they’re hearing from the doctor.

Some dude in Texas. One of the premier TJ guys out there.
